Description This was taken at the Keighley and Worth Valley steam gala.

Here we have to the left BR Standard 4 No "80002" with blue number board and to the right we have Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway Class 25 a 0-6-0 steam locomotive No. "957", last time I saw the locomotive was at the MOSI for the Garrett Gathering as seen in the photography below, this was taken at Haworth yard. Both engines being prepared for the days runs.

Technically it isn't. It's the production model, James and that other red engine were experimental Moguls.

Several locos in the Scottish region had their smokebox door number painted blue. It sometimes stemmed from crews personalizing their locos.
Some Midland Region Black 5s that ran up into Scotland had their backgrounds painted red. They were few and fair between but the odd occasion it would be done.
80002 was once the Beattock banking engine and so the number plate was painted blue.
Love this shot of two great engines. Std 4 tanks are lovely to work on having fired 80080 many times at ELR. 957 is a lovely old loco too. Had the pleasure of a round trip on her 'plate and have fired the successor to her class several times

I trul, ABSOLUTELY LOVE! These two steamers. Beauty and the beast, especially that Yorkshire engine. It's shame this isn't a print.Β

Great shot. The '25' makes a great sound for an old timer when she is moving. Try Embsay & Bolton Abbey Railway if ever up round this area, they have some classic rolling stock.

Man, both of these engines I hadnt heard of until now. it does my heart good to see these beauties preserved. I love the era contrast here too! big brutish standard class next to an elegant 0-6-0 of the really old lines

Well there is a lot of steam train out there i haven't heard of this country, because they are preserved on railways rather than mainline.
