Air Commodore Alan "Al" Christopher Deere's MK 1A Spitfire which he flew during the Battle of Britain.Possibly New Zealand's best known fighter pilot from the Second World War, he had a long and very distinguished career in the Royal Air Force until his retirement in December 1977.
He passed away on the 21st September, 1995, aged 77.
One of the 'few'.

This is an amazing picture. I so like the clouds in it, they look so real, the color are just right too. And the plan looks great. So many details on it. Great picture!

I can't take credit for the texture tho, done by a bloke called 'HunHunter'. He's very very talented, having done a fair bit of work on 3rd party textures for IL2 FB. He's currently working on 2 more versions of the Spitfire (Mk Vb and a IX), a Mosquito VI FB , and then the 3 versions of the 109.
