I was asked by Lego to do some action poses of the upcoming Nindroids for Ninjago.Related content

I like using the black ninja mask for Cole and putting them on the Drones.

In this picture we can definitely see the designs beginning to match the ones that ended up in the sets! They still have the molded robot arm and leg though, which look pretty cool. This action pose is very expressive, and way beyond what I could probably do without a finished minifigure design to base it on! I ought to spend more time drawing LEGO things for practice.

The final designs are sure to differ from early concepts, and Lego only seeks outside help for some inspiration but they ultimately make final decisions in house. It was really fun to be part of the process though!
