I have been Meaning to submit this days ago, but because of my computer being so stubborn, I was unable to... Piece of shit... hafta use my sister's computer to submit itAnyhow, I finished texturing the Recon set a week ago, and quite proud of it too.

Bungi is so mean! They know all the dirty tricks when fighting players. (hiding in the walls. etc) Making recon armor, Impossibly difficult to get

By the way, how did you get the aura thing? Was that in Max, or done with photoshop after?
I've tried to do that ambience thing with lighting many times before and I've never really gotten it, so I was wondering.

its a post filter in Max, its merely a lens effect and lighting blur.

Hunnh... this is really fucking nice.
I've been holding out on doing Halo 3 stuff until the powers that be finish the decoder program from the final game, but every time I see someone do one of the beta armors really well like this, it makes me want more and more...
Is this Max?

Yeah, 3d Studio Max 2008. I now know I have to learn how to make my own things instead of relying on premade models that were made by other game companies. Take my USP Mach 4 and Mass effect rifle for example XD

I always take the originals and just tinker a bunch until I get what I want. Doing stuff from scratch is... not really my strong point. But I am working on being better at it.

I only textured it in 3ds, this was the beta model. I didn't make this, the gods of video gaming did.
