I'm putting this in scraps because that's pretty much all it amounts to.

Years ago I was going to do the new Star Trek comic at IDW but in the end it just proved to be too much for me at the time. The amount of reference material needed and constant approvals, not to mention my own inadequacy as an artist was beyond my ability to cope and I flaked out.

Lesson to be learned, if you're having a hard time with the project you are assigned, talk to your editor! The worst thing you can do is what I've done time and time again by just running away. A good editor will work with you and help figure out how to solve the problem because ultimately their ass is on the line as much as yours.

So in the end this is all I have to show for a book that I dreamed about doing. This is one of my biggest regrets as a professional and I wish I could go back with the knowledge and experience I have now, but...
