Description
When you struggle through the intense heat of a summer day in the desert, it is such a wonderful relief when the sun goes down and you feel the cool evening breeze.Taken in Norco, California, by my oldest son, Brian Emerson, who has given me permission to sell them as prints here.

technically Norco is not in a desert, but it does get hellishly hot there anyways!
and that cool breeze can become downright COLD too!

I forgot that. Because Banning is desert, and Norco was such a short trip from there, I made an assumption. People don't realize that the desert gets so cold at night. We used to gather on our back porch at 4:00 every afternoon, because the early evening breeze started in around that time. Banning is bordered on 2 sides by high mountains, so evening starts early there. Our summer days averaged 110 degrees. It was such a wonderful feeling to feel that sudden drop in temperature!

Thank-you! I think it's all the smog in Southern California that produces such beautiful sunsets. I'll take the softer, cleaner skies of Montana.
