I actually began this piece back in December with an entirely different drawing of Gaila. However, I then put so much effort into the background, the drawing I’d started out with looked a little lackluster by comparison. Yeah, in case you couldn’t tell upon first glance, the background is 100% digitally rendered. Why I didn’t just use a screen capture, I don’t know. I suppose it was a point of pride. Anyway, I decided the only thing for it was to completely redraw Gaila herself, but I just never quite got around to it until now.

I used a photo of a model named Molly Stewart as a pose/lighting reference.
