Description
My impression of ~Anonnim is that he's the sort of person I strongly dislike: the type who is here for no reason other than to beg as many people as possible for free art. But when he left a comment on my profile page that read, “Marguerite Krux and Veronica Layton kiss art please! (From The Lost World),” I admit that it didn’t sound like an entirely unappealing concept. And at least he said “please.” Plus, I figured if I could finagle this into a paying gig, so much the better. When asked, ~Anonnim did indicate he was willing to commission me, but once the subject of money was broached, a blunt, “Do not want!” was his reply. Of course, he was under no obligation to commission me, but for a second, I allowed myself to think this guy might be cool, only to have it turn out that he's apparently no better than the rest of his ilk.Despite that disappointment, I now kind of had my heart set on drawing this pic, so I did it anyway, regardless of whether or not I was getting paid or my less than kind feelings towards the person who suggested the idea in the first place. I guess the lesson here, kids, is that if you pester someone for free stuff in an obnoxious manner, or tell someone you'd like to commission them, then change your mind, you might nevertheless still end up getting what you wanted. But the downside is that I also get to badmouth you.
This pairing might be construed as somewhat incestuous, but only if you’re familiar with the plans Judith and Garfield Reeves-Stevens had for the unproduced fourth season of The Lost World, and I’ll wager that’s not many of you. It’s complicated, but in a nutshell, it was supposed to have been revealed that Marguerite and Veronica were not only biological cousins, but also sisters in a spiritual sense. However, as that never made it to air, I guess it’s not technically canon.

I think that what we can take from this is that despite the whinging of people like that, sometimes it can inspire you to do something. And that something can be good. This is good. And there's plenty out there who appreciate some new surprise from you.

Classy work, as always. I love the delicacy of the lines (and the pose).

Thanks. Delicate lines are a little tricky when using a brush, which is my preferred method of inking these days.
