"Lexx" is the sort of show I'm almost embarrassed to admit to liking. I think I once read it described as equal parts brilliance and idiocy.
For such a relatively simple drawing, this one gave me a lot of problems, mainly with the little details. Kai's costume was particularly headache-inducing. It's so dark, and I had trouble finding good reference material online at first. I still didn't get it totally right, but I guess it's good enough.

Hilarious work. I've been a fan of Futurama since the beginning but wasn't one of Lexx when it was first on TV in the late 90's, but I've rediscovered the show and am now a fan and it's nice to hear that others are as well. Cool artwork.

I thought about my question later, and I realized that yes, you were right to place the characters as you did. Fry does look much better as Kai.

Although Fry would make a good Stan, it just seemed to me that Stan has a little more in common with Zoidberg than he does with Fry. It's true Fry doesn't have much in common with Kai, but he's probably the character who looks best in Kai's costume. Also, the idea of Bender's 790 being in lust with Fry's Kai struck me as pretty funny. Thanks for the comment.

Thanks. I'm not sure who within Futurama's core cast would have filled the Kai role better. If you want smarter, I guess you could go with Prof. Farnsworth, but he unfortunately looks too old for the part, even if he's nowhere hear as old as Kai.

I was thinking of Hermes, as he strikes me as the most sanely intelligent of the core cast. Also perhaps the most cold hearted, in his bureaucratic way. That could make for an interesting irony as well, given Kai's speech about who he has killed.
Somehow Zoidberg does seem the perfect Stanley.

Hm, interesting. I might not have considered Hermes, since he doesn't resemble Kai very much, or at all, really, but I can see why he might work. I just think I would have felt weird if Fry had been left out of this pic, which is not to say I arbitrarily made him Kai just to include him; I thought he fit the part pretty well, even if he isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer. Well, it's not like each character is going to represent the character they're paralleling exactly. I do agree about Zoidberg. I was pretty happy when I hit upon using him. At first, I believe I'd thought about making Fry Stanley, but Zoidberg is much closer in personality.

Very cool. I love it! I just started to watch the series again on Netflix since they have it on instant watch. It's been about 10 years since I've seen it so I was really happy to find it on there. Anyway, amazing picture!
