Ouchiiies ... 24-hours, just about non-stop. ;-; I like this far better than the last one ([link] ) that I pushed myself to finish in 24-hours, though!Rococo doesn't like moths, apparently. They have the wings he had ripped off. Yeah. '-' He passes into a death-like state from time to time, and his consciousness winds up somewhere else, a sort of dream world ... I think this is it. I'm not sure what the place looks like yet. But he's restricted to it, and cannot physically leave while he's there. Grr, angst at the moth. >: (
My screen's a bit weird on this computer ... there shouldn't be ANY flat black other than the outlines, though there isn't any flat white either. It should be light enough to see variations in the colours within his coat, though I've possibly gotten that wrong ... Urgh. I'm not over-chuffed with how it turned out on the whole - something about the contrast and/or saturation looks really off, though I can't work out what - but it'll do! I'm using this (or part of it ... not decided yet) for the new lay-out for my webby, with a differnt background.
The thing on his hip isn't a tattoo, it's a sort of ... acquired birth-mark, I suppose. PS, I hate displacement maps.

Oh god! Your shading is simply gorgeous in this piece- much better then band practice. Band practice was just a notice to let us know you weren't dead- this is a real work of art!
Much love to the lace work. I've attempted it several times but haven't found a working techneque yet x.x Is it a darker tone for the base threads before the actual lace work?

I'm not sure what you're meaning by lace here, actually. Heh ... *useless* ._.; The two things I can think of closest to it: the frills around his cuffs are just a way that I naturally scribble things that I've worked out how to use to me advantage; and the lace-ish patten on the waistcoat is a mix of this [link] and this [link] Which is pretty rubbish of me, buuut, got the job done at least semi-satisfactorially. Ish. I think. >_< Normally for lace, I just sort of scribble lightly over the area to get a very loose woven texture, then pick out patterns in it and add in thinks like hearts and roses. Not good. XD;
Heh, whining aside, I'm glad that this's liked, anyway! ^^

I've FINALLY figured out who this character reminds me of: Marilyn Manson. If you don't like him though, then NO! Nevermind, he doesn't look anything like him. I'm off in my *own* little dreamworld now... @.@
Nice picture though, I really like the detail in the folds and wrinkles of the clothes and the mark on his hip; very cool!

I would bite your head off for that if it wasn't for the fact that I think he looks far more like Sean from London After Midnight ([link] ) ... not similar personality-wise to either of them in the slightest, but uh, yeah. *won't bite off head ... yet XD*

Mmmm the colors. I totally love the clothes he's wearing! Gah that shirt/jacket/thing! And the lacey cuff~~ *___* And and I just love how you color hair ;___; I guess my only complaint about this picture is that the uh, pose, is rather static. @o@

The detail on this is just so amasing. I wish I could just draw and finish in a day. I have too much ADD for that though, lol. The clothes are so pretty, as is the 'birth mark' thing. Kinda odd for what it is, but yesh pretty still.

See, things like that are what happen to me when I have study weeks. .-. Projects? PHAH. Haha, I just don't know what to call that thingy on his hip other than a birthmark ... >.>; It's not one, it just sort of ... appeared. It's not meant to have been tattooed, anyway.

XD I seem to be having a constant battle with head sizes ... they never want to work! I didn't even notice that until you'd pointed it out ... oh well, too late now ...
The thing about the eyes is pretty much intended ... this is the first time in quite a long while that he hasn't had huge drama-queen lower lashes! ^_^;;
