SPOILERS!! LOOK AWAY IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THE FILM YET!!ok when you watch the trailer for the new Godzilla, they make it look like the government has been covering his tracks whenever he attacks, and that he would finally be exposed when its time to fight the new monster, but in the movie the destruction and cover up mainly goes to the Mutos who destroy everything and eat everything, meanwhile a bunch of ships and scientists follow him around like a whale migrating
and basically it made me think of this, cus Godzilla is actually a bit sweeter than the other two Mutos in the film i made a post on tumblr which got so popular in just 24 hours that inspired me to make the post into a short comic about the two different monsters in the new Godzilla film ; u ;
and i gotta say it was pretty successful, the new post with the comic was more popular than the original, and im pretty proud of myself for finally getting something super popular on tumblr where most of my stuff never gets noticed

godzilla didn't really care about the damage he caused , he just wanted the mutos out of his life

I theorize that the Muto just plowed through everything because she can climb and prefers to take the shortest route opposed to the route of least resistance. And since neither has a concept of easily-breakable buildings, they both just act like they are rock formations.

well that makes sense actually, a lot of animals just walk through whatever is in their way since they dont think about what's gonna break under pressure, especially since they're somewhat insectoid they won't even be thinking about the consequences of stuff getting broken

god of destruction godzilla is starting to watch his step and the monstrosities he fights are more interesting than the humans...... something is wrong with that mental picture.
nothing is wrong, however, with this art. it is wonderful and I love it

im guessing in the movie they wanted it to be pretty obvious that the Mutos were the greater of two evils in the picture so that we could feel more inclined to root for Godzilla, whatever they do i'll always root for the big guy c:

hahah yeah that little bit at the end where the Femuto gulps down a crew of soldiers in one bite, that was kinda the first time we see a kaiju in a Godzilla film direactly eating people, wasnt it?

I'm not sure, I thought the first time was when winged muto took a bite out of that transport train at the Hawaiian airport. I think the femuto munching on the soldiers was confirming their change in tastes, or revenge for her babies.

yeah probably, the first one was either/or in trying to eat the machine or the people, and the second time was possibly a revenge move too, Godzilla never did anything like that

That is exactly how I imagined him thinking when he was going threw the buildings.
He destroy them on purpose, they just happen to be in his way when he was going after Muto.

yeah its like half the time he knew what he was doing, either breaking stuff on purpose or just trying to get around without causing more damage, cus he did swim under the Navy ship before entering Hawaii, and he could have easily destroyed the ships following him, but he didnt

yeah he never directly smashes any buildings or aims his atomic breath in a hundred directions or anything like that really, he was way more focused on the Mutos to be distracted with his anger towards man

eh maybe, but usually he only causes more damage if he's angry or if something else tries to kill him, like the military or maybe an alien force (or that meteor that smashed into his face in Final Wars which turned out to be a kaiju controlled by aliens, so yeah
