Full Name: Dairiis Spariatere
Pronunciation: Die-rees Spar-ee-ah-teer
Name Inspiration: Dairiis comes from the Diacano/Diaconus (the Italian/Latin words for Deacon, respectively) and Propriis/Nobilis (the Latin words for Proper/Nobile, respectively. It was mainly Nobilis, but I liked the extra “i” that Propriis had). Spariatere comes from Spiare (the Italian word for Spy) and Cavaliere (the Italian word for Knight).

Backstory: Dairiis has always been a very serious, no nonsense wolf. Before the attack, he would often focus more on training for the ranks he desired to gain when he was older than play with others. The rank he took the most interest in was Shadow Warrior, and he would often make use of Yemuna’s lent abilities to practice for this rank by sneaking around and eavesdropping on the conversations of others.
When his pack was attacked, he was captured with many of the other Shadow Pups. Due to being a Shadow Wolf, he tended to get better treatment than most of the other Slaves, especially for being symbolized. Due to the extent of the treatment, he shut down and became even more monotone than before, and even refused to summon Yemuna in fear of her being taken away. Though not physically adept, when he saw that those of his species that were non-symbolized would receive worse treatment than others, he began doing what he does best: eavesdropping. He would often sneak around and eavesdrop on the guards’ conversations, and use the information he’d gained from that to blackmail them into leaving the others of his species alone. This is also something he would do to other Slaves in order to gain something he wanted from them without having to physically confront them. While in the Slave Camps, he grew to have a crush on Mizu Seishi after first approaching her out of pity for her "extra special treatment", and despite being unable to see her as often as he’d like, due to her being one of the Slave Camp Leader's top favorite Slaves, he’d spend whatever time with her he could. When she was freed, he desperately awaited her return to free him and the others so that he could see her again. Like many other Shadow Slaves, he has also heard of Kaitou, and holds hope the he will arrive with Mizu one day to free them. He as well yearns for his freedom so that he may see his loyal owl friend once more. Of all the other Slaves, he pities the Shadow mutation the most, due to them being the apple of the Slave Camp Leader's eye and the number one target for his sickening treatment. (Crush on Mizu may be removed if you accept him but have other plans in mind)
Personality: Dairiis is a very serious and proper wolf. He is well known for his good behavior and polite mannerisms. Another thing he is known for is his monotonous attitude. Rarely does he ever show emotion, even in his voice. He can often be seen with a cold, distant look on his face. He is also known for being slightly narcissistic. He has a need to control the situations he’s in, and to be regarded as the more powerful party. This is one of the main reasons for his eavesdropping for information, so that he may be able to control those who have power over others when it comes to their interactions with him and those that matter to him. He sees these interactions as very business oriented: The guards leave those of his species alone and he keeps the information he’s learned to himself. He is also not above using these tactics against other Slaves. Due to him not being physically adept at all, he will learn information about other Slaves and use it to blackmail them into giving him their food without having to fight them for it. When doing this, he tends to avoid the more aggressive Slaves, and instead goes after those with more weak minds and submissive attitudes as they are more easy to manipulate without receiving backlash. The only ones he spares from this treatment are the other Shadow Slaves and the Light Slaves. Of all the other Slaves, he pities the Shadow mutation the most, due to them being the apple of the Slave Camp Leader's eye and the number one target for his sickening treatment.
Appearance: Dairiis is a symbolized Shadow male. He has a very slim and petite build, giving him a sort of feminine look. Due to this and his symbols, he is often confused for a female at first glance. He has grey socks that are rimmed with blue on his forelegs. On his backlegs, he also possesses socks, but his paws are uncolored, and he has pointed blue markings right above his paws. He has near identical blue symbols on his face and tail. His ear tips, nose, and paw pads are also blue. He also possesses three charms; two golden loops, one on each ear, and a blue cravat like necklace the color of his symbols.
Charm Origins: Dairiis possesses three charms. He has a golden loop earring in both ears and a cravat like necklace. These were all given to him by his parents.

Fun Facts:
He was primarily inspired by a character from Pirate101 named “Deacon”. In the game, Deacon is the main antagonist for about the first half, during which he attempts to hunt down and capture the player. He is one of the highest ranked officials of the “Armada”, and possesses the ranks of “Emissary” and “Spy”. The “Spy” rank is what primarily made me choose to base my Shadow entry off him.
If he gets in, I plan on giving him a brother-like relationship with a future entry of mine, who will be based off his inspiration’s “brother”
His name was originally going to be Diariis, but I felt Dairiis rolled off the tongue better, as did many of my friends.
He is the first wolf I’ve done with a symbolized and non-symbolized version
For his picture, I reused the lineart I made for Qibli and just touched it up a bit. Will be using this same base for at least one other entry which, as those on the AzureHowl Discord server have seen, will be Electric.
The idea for having Kagane (who belongs to LumaTheDragonQueen ) and Dairiis be cousins or half-siblings is due to the fact that we gave them identical markings on their front legs without even realizing it, just with different colors XD So we though "Hey, related wolves can have similar markings. Why not make give Shilach the choice of making them related if she accepts them?" which is exactly what we did XP Dairiis' connection with Doshi (who belongs to ShadowWolf024 ) was due to the fact that Luma had listed familial options for Doshi with Kagane.
His cravat like charm was originally white, but Shilach requested to see how it looked blue as, according to her, the white looked more charming on his non-symbolized version while less on his symbolized, which I could see. I ended up making 38 different versions for her to pick from, and she chose the first. I honestly really liked her choice and agree that he looks much better with the blue than the white. ^^
