This is how much a dweeb I am.
Actually, I'm so outta practice with comics, I wanted to brush up with something really simple so I'm in better shape when I finally start drawing up my own story thing. So I figured Pokemon was perfect.
Professor Oak is my favorite character from the entire Pokemon series. He's awesome.

im loving this style. it is very cartoon kid freindly but also so damn appealing to the eyes. the organes and and bright light just mske my eyes squee in delight. Also i like the character faces. no big eyes but enough to tell what their expressions are. good on ya. lets see where this goes.

Professor Oak nowadays gets turned into a creepy pedophile by a lot of people, but screw them he's still awesome.

I guess it started with the "are you a boy or a girl" thing, from which gen? I'm limited to Gen 1, so I was a little weirded out when I went to find reference pics of Professor Oak and witnessed the portrayal you refer to haha. Whatever man, I agree, he's too cool.

Oh my god, YES! I'm not the biggest pokémon fan; I don't have a lot of merchandise besides games, but I love drawing comics for Pokémon, and just doodling pokémon in general. The way you're writing this, the you're drawing this, and the way you're working out the personalities of these kids, is lovely! I can already see this is going to be a wonderful story.

Awesome! I'm not a fanatic either, it was a staple of my childhood and I only know of the series how it was waaaay back then haha! But I love seeing and drawing pokemon art (and writing lame fanfics), it's really enjoyable. It's really great to hear you see so much potential in this already, it makes me wanna get back to work to give you more! Buuut I won't, I'm gonna go watch the 2009 Star Trek movie right now cuz I love it. Thanks again man, I really appreciate your feedback!

Glad you liked looking at it, haha. I actually really had to tone down the coloring since the usual saturation was way too distracting, I thought, but I'm glad it still looks vibrant.

As opposed to your usual color flair, I can see why you had to tone it down. Well, things in moderation I suppose.
Really? I've had similar problems with drawing simple characters too. You know, trying to nail the look down and such (I make it way more difficult than it needs to be sometimes! xD)
