So, I really wanted to make something simple but powerful. Because with the huge spectrum of differences among Sonic fans, things get really muddled up and drama-tastic. So here's something I hope every fan can enjoy. I really wanted to give the emerald justice as the mysterious, powerful thing that it is. Hope I succeeded!

My favorite version of Sonic's ever-changing design is from Sonic CD, during the animated scenes, because of the simple and charming design. [link]

This reminds me of the Genesis days when Sonic & friends were chilling in a surreal, wacky, & dreamlike world.
I wish Sega would've kept that same atmosphere for the 3D games though Sonic Adventure 1 & Sonic Colors seem to be getting the message.

I'm also glad fans like you enjoyed Sonic CD. It's like the "black sheep" of the classic series.

I have to be honest, I incredibly miss that surreal, pinball-esque Genesis Sonic world of long ago. Ever since he transitioned to adventuring on a recognizable planet, Sonic really hasn't been at all what it was for me before. But ah well, they've moved on to other ideas.
