Tried my hand at an epic pixel piece. Inspired by this lovely work: [link]So, I really wanted to make something simple but powerful. Because with the huge spectrum of differences among Sonic fans, things get really muddled up and drama-tastic. So here's something I hope every fan can enjoy. I really wanted to give the emerald justice as the mysterious, powerful thing that it is. Hope I succeeded!
My favorite version of Sonic's ever-changing design is from Sonic CD, during the animated scenes, because of the simple and charming design. [link]

Ive always thought that this was one of your best works. You've really captured the power and mystery of the chaos emerald. Im thinking of doing something like this for one of my upcoming pics. But of course it wont be as good as this gem.

Yeah, I feel like I haven't/never will surpass this piece... It's the first Sonic art I made after years of absolutely zip, so I feel like I stuffed it with all my nostalgia, art skillz, and fantardness to the brim
