Description
OK, a couple people asked for patterns for my wallets but I realized they would probably need a little more information so I put this together real quick (apologies for what are probably my numerous spelling errors)how to do a blanket stitch: [link]
If you have any more questions about anything on here just ask!
I did put up parts of my patterns on stash and you can find them here:
pokemon: [link]
skyrim: [link]
If you download and unzip the files you will notice that they aren't very complete patterns but with those you should be able to cut out the remaining pieces by tracing over different parts of the ones I have provided. I also don't have a pattern for the main outside and inside pieces as I gave you the size on here. The card holders aren't here either as I gave you the size of them as well and I tend to just randomly cut into them without much planning so I don't actually have a pattern for them.

That sounds like a pillow.
Unrelated thing:
Making all of the bad choices in Dragon Age makes the game really dark. I mean darker than normal. Your entire team dies, excepting Ohgren and Morrigan; but I don't count Ohgren and Morrigan leaves.

A pillow has no holes and, unlike a shoe, has no soles. That's why they try to kill you when you sleep, they feel no remorse.
Have fun with that.
I wanted to know if I could. It makes the game very difficult.
Summary:
Sten, you stay in your cage before the darkspawn (only to make his escape from Lothering with someone else...)
Dog, you stay in your cage too and wander off into the wilds
Allistair, you're exiled, rejected, and a raving drunkard in Starkhaven. (oddly in the Free Marches near Kirkwall, hmm)
Morrigan, you go deal with rejection and weasel your way into an Orlesian court (third game location)
Leliana, you took offense when I destroyed the Ashes and wound up entombed with the Urn
Zevran, it's just better to kill an assassin to keep them from betraying you
Wynne, you fought for the mages and died by the Templars on the steps before the First Enchanter
Ohgren, you're drunk and you'll always be drunk so you don't care about much
Shale, you returned to your calling and fought for Caridin like you were always meant to, you learned your past and got taken apart by it
Loghain, you saw it as redemption when you killed the Archdemon, but you took my place
And the werewolves killed the elves, Connor was lost to the demon, Bhelen had Harrowmont executed, Brother Genitivi commits suicide after being declared a heretic, "Andraste" the dragon attacks Calenhad, and Branka's golems went rogue. And they all lived happily ever after. 0_0

He is so happy and smiley and has blood on his face. He so enjoys mauling but he doesn't like Zathrian or the "kitty" demon. (this is dog, not your pillow; your pillow enjoys nothing as it is a soulless monster and you must kill it with fire)

Side note, finally got all the achievements/trophies for that game. It only took about 150 cumulative hours, none of which I minded. Now I'm a Dalish again, just like when I started almost three years ago (or is it four now?). Feels kind of satisfying getting the final achievement [Blight Queller] (which got glitched a while back thus why it took this long) beheading a darkspawn general.
Only if you try putting it out with your face or have nearby flammable paint. Easy method: enchant a sewing needle with fire and apply a standard attack with on hit effect.

Indeed it did. They have to be 1000 darkspawn kills by your character in one playthrough. Thank you, human noble dual wielding blades in heavy armor. lD
Dalish gives you a very different take on everything going on. You only appreciate everything and how well it ties together after completing all the origin stories and seeing exactly how complex everything is.
I kind of want to know if a dwarven noble character can take the throne of Orzammar as a brother of Bhelen. A human noble can reign in Highever and get extra dialogue with Arl Howe, plus some more dialogue with Nathaniel and his sister.
I really spaced when starting DragonAge 2 and didn't see things that I now see very clearly in the Dalish storyline. Keeper Maratheri is a friend of Flemeth, Master Ilen is the craftsman, and Duncan broke the Eluvian while my party member Merril mused over it. Foreshadowing...
Needle of stabbing into fabric +6.

SporeRedland In reply to RoochArffer [2012-07-09 03:44:13 +0000 UTC]
I'd say it's a horde worth.
Favorite armor hands down for heavy fighting is Volcanic Golem Shell Armor. I think it had 35 armor and 50% resistance to fire plus strength and physical resistance buffs. Combined with the Spellward amulet and Templar specialization, you can walk right through a volley of fireballs untouched while everyone around you gets floored.
Nobody likes either of those things in that world. XD
Cullen is an odd one. When I ran my female elf mage character (coincidence? crazy time warp in the universe?) and sided with the mages, it ended with Cullen going mad saying that they taunted him with what he wanted most and killing apprentice mages before his capture and subsequent escape from prison, heading north (just in time for more superstition in the Gallows of Kirkwall).
Then I can share informationz! :3
And they don't spoil anything because you already know how they turned out in the story.
I'm just going to list all of them with things I noticed.
Noble - house Cousland of Highever, [male] character arranged to marry Howe's daughter (Nathaniel's sister), betrayed and house of Highever slaughtered by Howe's men, Ser Jory's (killed by Duncan for refusing the ritual) wife dies and he doesn't know unless you tell him, start with dog, brother escaped Ostagar with part of the scouting unit that is ambushed when gathering blood in Korcari Wilds
City Elf - [female] character's betrothed (or possibly best man, I think it's betrothed) taken and locked in dungeon for attempting to avenge the female elves that nobles raped (not a pleasant intro), [male] character's betrothed killed, noble responsible gets locked in dungeon too, violence and ensuing vengeance when character escapes lead to the Alienage riot/murdering of human residents and its sealing
Dalish Elf - same clan that appears on Sundermount with same names and general apperances, Merril first meets the Eluvian, character is infected from the broken Eluvian and must become a warden to cure it, another elf becomes a corrupted humano-darkspawn like the ancient Tevinters from touching it, this mirror is connected to Morrigan's Eluvian and whatever dimension it goes to (assumed to be the Black City or somewhere safe for an Old God)
Dwarven Noble - second son of house Aeducan, younger brother Bhelen, go scouring the Deep Roads to find older brother assassinated and you are implicated, Bhelen turns out to be behind it and possibly the poisoning of your father but you can't prove it, exiled to die in the Deep Roads you run into Duncan, battle for succession in Orzammar
Dwarven Commoner - castless member of Jarvia's criminal carta, break away from your past, possibly enter a proving with a helmet on to hide your cast (and I don't remember the rest of that one; too long ago but I think you get exiled to the Deep Roads for breaking tradition)
Mage - Jowan breaks free using blood magic, Jowan is later an issue having poisoned Arl Eamon and gotten a templar sent to Howe's dungeon, Uldred (leader of blood mages in the tower and teacher of Jowan) makes his case before Cailan but is denied the right to fight at Ostagar and this is a fact that the nearby Teryn Loghain exploits
And that is all of that novel. XD

Force mage is a lot of fun in the second game (bonus to fireball knockdown). So long as you don't make the mistake of being a healer and a force mage. That just makes fighting anything that isn't human a royal pain in the tuchus.
Cullen is a sad puppy. You feel like you have to do something about it, but at the same time it's liable to have a panic attack and start peeing on everything (kind of like when he went insane but not really). XD
It's the peoples' revolution and it failed miserably. lD
Aside from the Lord of the Rings, I think people generally do hate or distrust elves. They're too perfect, even when they're out of luck.
I know what you mean. I always gravitate towards using an elven character when given the chance. Finesse + ears = win.
His particular accent and general helplessness bothered me.
"Oh hey, it's youuu! I always kneeew you'd find a way out of the towah!" (almost over accented)
Anders would be ashamed. Oh, and interestingly enough Anders isn't his actual name (wiki). It's a regional description of the people, like if we called Arl Eamon by the name Fereldan instead. Now I'm curious but the internet doesn't know his full name.

I guess dalish is my typical idea of an elf but I'm thinking more of the city elves where they have to be interacted with...
also I played Munchkin for the first time a couple days ago and elves gain a level when you help someone fight something and that's really handy and I like them. yup.
Anders isn't his name? So I've been saying I was annoyed at a region this entire time? kinda fitting though... that his name is unknown

They're kind of pathetic from a Dalish standpoint. They live in squalor and hide out of fear of the humans, barely able to make anything of themselves in life. They're even afraid to talk to the Dalish.
Munchkin is a fun and evil game where you think you're going to win but you overestimate the strategy of your opponent and hold off on your good cards long enough for them to make an actual move that hurts you without them ever making the move they should have.
It's like Santa Claus and gift giving for elves, only with less slavery.
My reaction was like "huh, that's interesting" followed by research into why.
I want the third game to take place near the Anderfells (even though they've confirmed it will center on Orlais) so that the entire world will be full of Anders. He'd fit right in hiding from the templars. Mwahahahahaha!

I just took on this quest that required taking some random guy to a place i had never been filled with cyclopses (is that how that's spelled?) and lion/goat/snake things. it didn't go well. though we did almost kill on cyclops... almost. it would have worked if we weren't attacked by wolves and bandits at the same time.

That would be a cool.
I based my lead dude and pawn off of characters in my Blacktower Chronicles project. I must say, I like the customization.
That does not sound like a fun escort quest.
This is why I am happy to kill seagulls and rabbits and not have enough time to play any further.
I hate the lizard men of the deceptively verdant well of Cassardis.
YES! Pawns will go flying everywhere as soon as I'm somewhere where I won't die without them.
Quickly, to the bottom of the well to assist a villager! I'll revive you when I get there and your time as a projectile is spent.

what classes did you end up going with for your character and pawn?
my favorite thing I have done so far involved bandits. I made friends with this group of bandits - headed by bandit darth Maul and I was happy because now theoretically his minions won't attack me and fighting bandits is stupidly irritating. I then proceeded to kill Maul for another quest and none of the other bandits cared and they are still my friends

(by the way, dog-sitting is not a fun job; as of this time the two dogs have been fighting and/or barking for over three hours solid)
That sounds like a strategy honed by Bethesda games. XD
That defines my entire first playthrough of Oblivion.
Fighter/warrior and a mage pawn. I brought a healer and an archer along too. Do additional pawns stay with you after you save and quit? I have yet to go back into the game.
Is that a glitch? Whatever - benefits and StarWars.
I will have to seek out this hydra now...

that sounds awfully annoying. My family has a dog but usually the barking stops after a couple minutes (though she does have quite the bark)
it's a wonderous strategy. my pawns don't seem to understand it though.... but they're not especially bright so I'm not surprised
I have a ranger (the longbow cracks me up!) and a fighter and i usually keep a mage and another fighter but i might do two mages as well...
the pawns do stay with you but you probably won't want to keep them around for long anyways because they don't level up with you

Our dog is the epitome of a spaghetti noodle most of the day.
What kind of dog do you guys have? Is this the one that eats paint?
They're repetitive but they do give you a good heads up on enemies right before a pile of wolves jumps on your face.
I kind of want to try a bow just to kill the dang seagulls for one of my quests. And I've seen my pawns do this juggly business with daggers.
I switched to Assassin real quick but then realized that I couldn't use most of my skills. At least switching between vocations you've already purchased is free.
I noticed that. The not leveling up business bothers me. Especially with Rook since you are given him at the beginning. He seems very static.

Pastel is the gateway paint.
But will the beagle eat a bugle or a bagel?
I know that tree! My pawns were equally impressed. Those rocks are things of marvel. Marble?! No, just marvel. Awww...
I like how they hang onto curative food until it goes bad and takes up inventory space even though they can't use it.
Lucky you that you can actually hit them. I've been chasing them with a shield "for leagues across this beach" just to see them fly away every time. (I did get one and I proceeded to FINISH HIM with the blade-to-ground skill)
Speaking of skills, I'm still trying to figure out if I can keep augments and core skills (that don't specify a weapon) from one vocation to the next. I'd like to be able to pick up a few of the Mage augmentations for my fighter, like resist magic damage. Do you know if you can?

I don't know. Dogs can surprise you. A friend's dachshund coughed up a lego tree and half a bar of soap. The vet had to remove the quarters and spool of thread.
What do you need the basset hound for? Is it necessary in item synthesis?
I was wandering about in a dungeon today when suddenly I became over-encumbered. Now I know that I wasn't near the weight limit and I didn't even pick up the loot after the kills yet, so what gives? Turns out I completed a "kill this many of this" quest and received 40 bugles on the spot. Whyyyyyyy?
It would be really nice if it did because that would allow for a more varied customization, especially once a vocation is mastered and you're ready to change it.

I hoard stuff to upgrade armor. On that note, moving up in equipment is really slow going, especially for the mage.
All right then. I have now fought Cyclopses and can attest to the fact that they hand me my butt. (eternal thanks to explosive shot balistas on the roof getting me out of that one; three cyclopses gave me a level up with each kill)
I still haven't seen a manticore/chimera or a griffin. I feel like I haven't looked enough because that griffin sounds like a good sport.
I was out by the Shadowfort when Quest: Ambush! pops up, so I think "All right, just a bunch of goblinssss.... Oh my garsh it's a drake!"
It proceeded to pick up and beat the snot out of my other mage while we ran away.
The loading screens are designed to help players cope with the guilt of not being able to face giant monsters yet. I shall relish the day when I can throw it back in their loading faces and I've mustard up the power to ketchup to the monsters.
Totally unrelated, but the English language is bothering me again.

I am having an issue with the fort and that issue is that it is dark and I can't see where the ogres are so I don't want to run through the middle of that courtyard to get to the balistas... stupid goblins
and puns are wonderful things. we should be grateful.

I am torn between wanting to fight the drake and knowing that it will most certainly kill all of us before we can knock even half a meter off.
There's a ballista on the roof across from where you put in the lever. Exploding goblins en masse is extremely satisfying. Oh, and you've probably already done this, but there's another cyclops where the two ballistas you fought are (cost me my second mage finding out; strange how that one keeps getting into trouble).
I was going to ask you if the ferrystone could be used more than just the first time for free. It just shows up on the ground once you teleport in and you can pick it back up, but I don't know how many uses that lasts for.
As opposable to bee ingrate Ted.

i tried and yeah.... ran away
yeah, my ballista got blown up while i was busy killing nearby goblins... it was unfortunate. I ended up not clearing the place because the commander guy died on me but apparently that doesn't fail the mission... ah well.
I think there was just one ferrystone sitting on the portal place...

It feels like this. -> [link]
That stinks. I didn't know he could die.
I guess I killed the cyclopses first out of a desire to be rid of them so it never came to that.
At least the big battle was cool, eh?
Same. I checked the wiki and found out that they just spawn there every few days. lD

yeah, I wouldn't have let him in if I knew he could... i'da picked the rest of the monsters off slow but eh... and you can only have that one save file and I didn't want to restart the chapter so yeaahh... stuck with it now oh well
that is awesome. I must remember that.
