Description OK, a couple people asked for patterns for my wallets but I realized they would probably need a little more information so I put this together real quick (apologies for what are probably my numerous spelling errors)

how to do a blanket stitch: [link]
If you have any more questions about anything on here just ask!

I did put up parts of my patterns on stash and you can find them here:
pokemon: [link]
skyrim: [link]

If you download and unzip the files you will notice that they aren't very complete patterns but with those you should be able to cut out the remaining pieces by tracing over different parts of the ones I have provided. I also don't have a pattern for the main outside and inside pieces as I gave you the size on here. The card holders aren't here either as I gave you the size of them as well and I tend to just randomly cut into them without much planning so I don't actually have a pattern for them.

It should be on the map if you got a quest from Mason after rooting Salvation out of the Catacombs.

They've got this big buggy eyes, roar and rush you, and are always eating something.
Hat still goes off to the ogres in DragonAge though. Those beasts are beasts.

Don't be ridiculous. Humelfs can't shoot bow and arrows. They are allergic to string.

hmmm haven't seen Mason for a long time - I did kill that guy for him, too

I liked freezing ogres in dragon age
the fact that these ones like women more makes me think of them as giant, horny, old men charging at you and that's kinda scary

are they now

It's not a required quest so that's totally normal. I've been scouring the quest list online to even find the ones I missed the first time.
Turns out both bandit groups have one and so does Reynard if you buy enough from him, but they are only available before meeting the duke. :/

Like murderous ice sculptures.
That description. That is a good description. I don't know that I can see ogres the same way again. XD

Yep. Even more so than humaluffelemps. FYI, those are human-elf-ephalumps.

Yeah. Several have very specific criteria to even get them.

Apparently some great mythical beasts of darkness akin to woozels.

i guess this is what the internet is for

also is that long quest you mentioned a path to the final battle or not?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SporeRedland In reply to RoochArffer [2012-07-20 00:37:11 +0000 UTC]

True indeed. I'm only missing 6 more quests (it keeps track across all play-throughs) according to the online list. I will have to start over a third time to get 4 of them and the 2 I can get are missable.
I missed the missions from the duchess last time (exited through the dungeon exploring rather than the front gate of the castle after getting the nifty hat) and I have got to say they are really disturbing.

Which one? I may have messed that up. When you go for the final battle you will also receive a "you will likely not return for some time" message but I think you get it that time from the Dragonforged.

yeah, the duchess thing was like hmmmm
but i kinda hate her guts

the one from the duke's little helper
i started it - has you going to the great wall to deal with salvation (I was just there, too!)

SporeRedland In reply to RoochArffer [2012-07-20 05:37:58 +0000 UTC]

The duke just comes up looking like he's insane and possibly a murderer of some nature. That and he is sixty-something, I think, because the dragon came around fifty years ago, and she can't be older than twenty. That was common in medieval society, I know, but that doesn't change how weird it seems.
The interaction and quest changes greatly if you are a male character. She falls in love with the Arisen and when you rescue her the camera tilts up and away from the bed with peaceful music. That's not at all awkward or out of the blue.

Ah yes, Mr. beardhood (because he has a beard and a hood).
Turns out you don't get as big of a reward if you interrupt the duel with Julien before that mission.
The Greatwall is a nice place. It's full of chimeras and so many friendly giant monsters. And now you finally have the dragon's name.
Coincidentally, I am currently right outside the Greatwall on the same quest. The game goes way faster the second time around.

haha, actually the game sorta assumes you are lesbian (or bi) if you play female xD it's especially funny cuz they're still making you see her secretly at night as if it would be scandalous to see a woman speaking to the duchess and everyone would assume the two were sleeping together
aand she totally falls in love with you after locking you away and having you tortured in the dungeons weeee

I didn't interupt the duel so cool beans
haha wow - probably helps that I am taking my time >_>;

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SporeRedland In reply to RoochArffer [2012-07-20 17:49:10 +0000 UTC]

Oh, well then I guess the male character's storyline is less awkward or at least more expected. XD
I'm betting they just didn't program in a different set of events, which is lazy.
And it's going to happen again before the game is over with another character. Forewarning on that.

Taking your time with those last few missions is a good idea. Stock up on ferrystones before doing the quest for the Dragonforged, which I think comes right after the Greatwall.
It is like we are in Mario Kart and I keep getting gold mushrooms to lap everybody. That has happened.

RoochArffer In reply to SporeRedland [2012-07-20 21:05:00 +0000 UTC]

it did seem a bit lazy - like they didn't think about what would happen if someone's character was female

ferrystonesssss
why could I possibly need so many...
haha, well I tend to beat my friends at mario kart but hey
those damn blue shells (or "fwooshes" as I like to call them)

SporeRedland In reply to RoochArffer [2012-07-20 21:42:15 +0000 UTC]

There are a few other instances of wonked dialogue or scenes. If you talk to Selene and she talks to your pawn, she will refer to you as "she," which is normal for you but not for my character.
And Aldous says that "the danger is past." Who translated that?

I learned something today. If you try grabbing onto a monster in the same spot that a pawn is grabbing you will instead carry away the pawn. Thankfully, you can then throw them right back at the monster.

It never hurts to be prepared.
Don't carry a lot into the final mission. The Tainted Mountain has some awesome loot that may get better with your level. (I am finding Chimeric and Gryphic armor in multiple chests)
I have 120 in storage. I may be over-prepped.

The elusive wild fwoosh has ruined many a perceived victory.

haha, so it goes both ways then
ish

haha, "you're in my spot! move!"

just a bit
so is the final mission the part after you talk to the dragonforged again?

they always hit you just when you don't need them - and the worse part is you always no they're coming cuz you hear that noise when your friends send them off

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SporeRedland In reply to RoochArffer [2012-07-20 22:56:48 +0000 UTC]

Kind of. It's not as glaring. lD

The Chimera was really close to death and I wanted to kill him with blunt force pawn chucking after this happened. Sadly, a giant meteor beat me to it.

I have over 100 more ferrystones than last time. Totally unnecessary but the shop had that many in stock. XD
Yep. The Dragonforged gives you the location of the Tainted Mountain, unlocks the Greatwall and sends you off to face Grigori in The Final Battle quest.
I'm holding off on fighting him in mine because I am one chimera away from a $750,000 quest reward.

Blue shells were the last horror waiting inside Pandora's box.

Ice is the best thing ever for geo saurians (inhabitants of the mountain). Enchantment plus the strider's five-shot to the face kills them in one hit. I think they are immune to lightning and resistant to fire but that ice weakness rocks.

It's not really good for much except going up. I don't tend to do most of the damage for my team, I distract the enemies, break guards, and generally be a mobile nuisance of a rogue.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

RoochArffer In reply to SporeRedland [2012-07-23 22:22:06 +0000 UTC]

My pawns seem pretty stupid so I tend to do a higher percentarge of damage than I probably should be doing - I really need to get in that knowledge chair and fix some things. I originally set my pawn to protect me because I was like "hmmm I dont' want to die" so he tends to stay close to me but the problem is I'm a ranger and he is a fighter and so he should be off attacking things while I hide in the back but instead he stays with me in the back doing nothing or else using the war cry-ish thing to call monsters over to the both of us. This is not what I originally thought telling him to protect me would do =B It's usually not so bad unless you are fighting a boss class monster.
Also all my hired mages seem to be really awful about enchanting weapons - I wish I could dragon age it up and force them to do it.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SporeRedland In reply to RoochArffer [2012-07-23 23:08:40 +0000 UTC]

They don't really know what they are doing most of the time. Mages break concentration to switch spells, archers don't get far enough away, fighters circle around the enemy. Pawns just aren't very bright.
I wish the knowledge chair would actually tell you what the effects of your choices were. Sure you can guess but a little more definitive might be nice.
Your pawn just wants to make sure that you can see all of the enemies. You can't seem them if he doesn't bring them to you.

If you call for help mages will usually give you some sort of buff. They'll do it outside of combat, too.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

RoochArffer In reply to SporeRedland [2012-07-24 00:26:11 +0000 UTC]

I think the internet may be able to help with the knowledge chair but the pawns are possibly beyond help. they do try so very hard.

and really? mine usually try to heal me even when they can't anymore because my health bar is to the uhh.. point where they can't even though my health is still damaged

SporeRedland In reply to RoochArffer [2012-07-24 00:40:42 +0000 UTC]

And when they fail after giving it their all, chuck'em in the Everfall.

but they always put so much effort into everything they do D: they're just simpleminded morons who get excited about trees and worry about 10ft wide paths being too narrow to walk on

can i just say that not being able to heal past the injury line or whatever is really annoying? cuz it is.

SporeRedland In reply to RoochArffer [2012-07-24 04:47:23 +0000 UTC]

"Element, lend they bite/kiss/sting/might!" The pawn yelled emphatically at the brick wall. The enchantment sailed backwards through the pawn's body to reach the intended target of the elemental affinity spell. To all onlookers, undead and recently once-again-dead undead, it appeared that the arisen's weapon had been enchanted by the mage's elbow.
The support pawns remained oblivious to the continued presence of not-dead undead in the room because they could not see or hear outside a ten foot radius.
And so the mage began to channel with his elbow once again...

Hey, when you get to your second playthrough, never put portcrystals on narrow paths. They may look safe, but the pawns have a very wide area of teleporting in. I learned too little too late that my pawns' warnings were all too much of a reality as they all plummeted off a thirty foot drop on a gently sloping incline to their deaths in the calm sea below.

I think it's all a secret plot to get you to spend more gold on curatives and inn visits.

But monsters don't even go near it normally. It's nice and safe up on an overhang in the south. It's even peaceful at night...

So you haven't jumped around a bunch in your world?
How goes the beating the game gig?

When I came up to the dragon fight I could not stop myself from going forward. I killed it and then just kept barreling toward the end, clearing out the chambers in search of wakestones (and missing many of said chambers due to the rush) and getting straight on to the final battle. For me, it's like when you get to the end of the book and you know the second half of the climax is still driving so you have to finish it before you can do anything else. Consequently, I ended up playing for 7 hours without a break until 5 in the morning. Couldn't sleep otherwise, you know?

not always apparently

nope, i've been walking the old fashioned way - only one port crystal and I haven't really needed to jump yet

I seeeee
I am the exact opposite at the ends of games. I stand around staring at the entrance to final boss fights. I make sure to do all my left over side quests. I grind a bit to make sure the fight won't be too hard. I wait a couple days just cuz I don't want the game to end and I don't want to go up against anything that gets to be called the final boss.
I beat Skyward Sword a week or so ago and I had been paused at the beginning of the entrance to the final temple for like... several weeks. Not for any reason, I wasn't stuck or anything - I just knew I was close to the end.
