Luke's face in the last panel looks like it belongs on an incontinent 70-year-old. AND YET IT'S STILL PERFECT.

This comic made the scene even better than it already was.

The last panel is hilarious, lol lukes face.
I remember this, i kept poking the cactus till there were no more Speech bubbles left,Ā
My 2 faves where luke and laytons speech bubble:
Layton- Hmm, this seems like such a prickly object.
Luke- Ouch! Why do i keep poking this?

I always wondered why Layton let his apprentice AND his assistant poke painful objects. And they were supposed to be smart! ..... I wonder what happened to Emmy when she said she had a bad experience with a cactus.......

All I know is Emmy is the coolest. I trust her judgement.

To pick a fight with a cactus? That's good judgement right there. I question your logic....

I am sure there was a reason

Emmy didn't like how that owl was staring her. So she chased it to a cactus and got beaten up by said plant. That's exactly how it went.

I just finished this game today (and I had to go back and do this conversation again of course) but all it did was make me want to play the next game and look up some prof. Layton stuff (of which I have now seen some spoilers more of the characters themselves than the next game.)
C'mon Luke! There must be a hint coin hidden in those needles!

Oh man, I accidentally read spoilers for the next game from the wiki and it made me dislike Emmy intensely (well, depending on how she acts that is) and I was just about to go play Specter again. I mean, I was just looking for her VA! *cries*
I've now banned myself from looking up anything Prof. Layton related until the last of this trilogy comes out.

miracle mask was pretty cool - there was a bit where you actually controlled layton (as in moved him around with the joystick/d-pad) that was really different haha

Okay... It's common sense to NOT touch something that hurts if you already touched it in the first place and it DOES hurt.

i'm not sure common sense applies in a world with giant cities underground and shared hallucinogenic visions.... but still

Aha, I was hoping you would do this. It's certainly one of the most interesting conversations in the game. I wonder if Luke's parents know what the professor is allowing their son to do.

I was actually hoping that you'd do a sequel after getting to that part of Miracle Mask. Thank you for continuing this series of, um, Luke hurting himself because of how neglectful his guardians are! XD
