Description That line comes from one of the most amazing SNL skits I've ever seen but can not find.

Amy Peohler as Jane Eyre
Jude Law as Rochester
Maya Rudolf as Berthe

It was EPIC! Alas, it isn't on YouTube and pretty much never airs.

This is not based off that skit, just a doodling of a scene from Charlotte Bronte's awesome book, "Jane Eyre". I don't quite remember what scene I was thinking of when I wrote this, but I think its the one where he rushes her back to her bedroom after (spoiler so I won't say it, if you read the book you'll know, if not go read it or wikipedia it at least).

Jane Eyre and Edward Rochester belong to the estate of Charlotte Bronte

And on closer inspection, I noticed it was actually Rachel Dratch as Jane Eyre! Not Poehler.

Oh, this was like early 2002 or so, so I might be off, but Jane keeps noticing Rochester sneaking away to the attic. She follows him and sees him leaving the attic all disheveled. She asks him what he was doing in there and he claims that there is a squirrel problem at Thornfield. She keeps badgering him and he starts complimenting her to make her stop.
There never very good compliments though, the only one I can remember is "well your overall shape is decent." Only Jane thinks its great since she's never really been complimented before.
Eventually Jane sneaks upstairs before Rochester gets there and knocks on the door, Berthe comes out all seductive like going "Ohhhhh Edward!" But as soon as she realizes its Jane she acts like she can't speak English. Rochester walks in on all this and explains that Berthe is helping him with the squirrel problem. At least I think anyway.
Anyway it ends with Jane like listening in with a glass going "and then we all lived happily ever after whilst I got my jollies listening to people take care of squirrels."

I'm not doing it justice by explaining it, honestly one of the best parts was Judd Law's heinously huge muttonchops.

That sounds adorable. Maybe one day we'll be lucky and it will end up on YouTube or something!

I keep hoping, every few moths I do a search for it, I'm definitely linking it to my journal if I ever find it.
