Eeeeeyyyye, a siren OC, babes! Honestly, there's so few of them! Where they all be at? Sirens are cool and could use some canon fleshing out in MLP. Well, at least, my headcanon is that the Dazzlings aren't the only sirens in existence. I've seen a few sirensonas and of course MaruFrog's all about the sirens because of her Adagio ship, but little else in siren content. Sadness... I'd love to see more siren OCs.

Petrichor is the lone siren within Canterlot. She comes from a faraway siren kingdom. Sirens prefer to not mingle with land-dwelling ponies, so Petrichor's reason for living in Equestria is very mysterious, indeed. She works as Café's governess, teaching her all manner of culture, language, history, and arithmetic in order to create a well-spoken, cultured young lady out of Café for when Café's body is stable enough to fraternize with Equestrian society, but mostly so she doesn't have to mingle with the Canterlot pony folk. Her young charge finds Petrichor's strict rules over her schedule and schooling to be drivel, but she doesn't have much choice in the matter.

I decided that sirens should totally have two-tone genetics like ponies. So even though the Dazzlings were solid colors in siren form, Petrichor is both a bright orange and a darker cerulean blue, with indigo eyes. And no, Petrichor is not related at all to any of the Dazzlings. Siren gems can come in any single color. Red just looks really nice as Petrichor's gem color. The name "Petrichor," pronounced "pe-tri-core," refers to the rain smell after a period of drought. (I love the smell of rain...)

One more note: Like in the Dazzlings's FIENDship is Magic comic, sirens have the ability to hop/levitate over land in my headcanon. Or else, none of this storyline would work. O_o"
