{ 01 - All She'd Ever Known }
Bella was born to a cocky farm cat named Husk and a pure bred kittypet named Matt. Her parents met after the Calamity destroyed their homes and fell in love, coming to raise their new family somewhere within the Valley of Thorns. Their three kits were little blessings, the boys, Booker and Yuri, and the only girl, Bella. The family lived a somewhat happy life hidden withing the twisting maze of spires. Bella was too young and naive to understand the danger they were constantly in, but she does remember many occasions where her parents quickly abandoned their home and moved to another portion of the valley. She and her brothers played happily together and at night their father would sing and tell them stories, and for a long time, Bella's family had relative peace.
{ 02 - Shattering of Innocence }
When she was about five months old, their family was attacked by a Hellion, the first time any of them had encountered one. Instantly, Yuri fell to it's whip like tail. Her parents fought valiantly but the her mother was paralyzed by the monster's clairvoyance powers as it strangled her father. Booker ordered her to run and stayed to distract it. Terrified, she did so, abandoning them to their deaths. Lost and afraid, she stumbled upon a cat with pure white fur and a beautiful stone strapped to her shoulder named Esther. The pale furred she-cat took her in and taught her how to defend herself and how to best avoid the Ashen. She also introduced her to the Pilgrim faith. Being lost and guilty, Bella latched onto it. Esther gave her a new name - Eden - teaching her the Pilgrim's Pledge, instructing her not to recite it until the day she was ready to take the responsibility on herself. They grew close very quickly. Bella began to see Esther as a mentor and did her very best to make Esther proud. Shortly after, Esther and Eden were attacked by a stray Fowl. They managed to kill it, but Esther had been wounded badly. Eden tried the best she could to fix her up, but she didn't know what to do and there were no herbs that grew in the ashy soil. She could maybe find some at Everbloom but that was a day or so away and if she were to go fetch them, she would leave Esther undefended. The two decided to make their way to Everbloom together. A day or two after they set off, a beam of light pierced the darkness a ways off, and a call came from far off. Both cats were drawn to the light, but Everbloom was closer and they needed to heal Esther. It was slow going, but after about a week or so of traveling whenever they could and stopping frequently to fight Ashen and to rest, they reached Everbloom. Unfortunately, by that time, Esther's wounds were infected. They used all the herbs they could, even eating some everfruit, but Esther knew she wouldn't last long. Eden promised to stay until Esther died and the two had a moon or two to come to terms before the day finally came. Eden buried her mentor below the roots of the tree, spending a whole night sitting vigil over her. The next morning, after eating a bit of everfruit and a small mouse, Eden set off to find the light they had seen. She couldn't remember where it was so she made her way up the dark spire. Again, going was slow. Eden had to hide often to avoid the Ashen. She reached half way up the mountain feeling week and tired. But there, in the distance, was a glowing light shining upon an asylum of green. She went down to the Valley of Thorns and spent about a moon there, hunting and regaining her strength withing a sanctuary she knew well. Finally, she was ready. She hurried back up the mountain, located the light and made the trip down to Safe Haven. Here she received the name Firpaw and began training as a Vanguard under Wolftail.{ 03 - TITLE }
She and her mentor Wolftail quickly grew close and she came to see him as a father figure. She also met Bathsheba, a Pilgrim born and raised on the Isle of Light, to whom she latched onto immediately. Bathy's motherly nature fostered the young cat and they also grew close, close enough that Firpaw began to sleep in the same den as the elderly seeker and her daughter Bellatrix. Firpaw spent every day training and looking after Bathy, barely having time to socialize with her peers. One day, while exploring the Valley of Thorns for her training, she was ambushed by a nytemare. It caught her by surprise and pricked her, but before it could disappear it was slain by a handsome golden tom. He introduced himself as Father Nicholas, a Pilgrim, and escorted her out of the valley. Enraptured by his commanding golden presence, Firpaw invited him to haven. He told her he would consider it and gave her a Vessel of Light, a Pilgrim artifact that she instantly treasured more than anything. She asked Littlestep to put it on a necklace for her and, after successfully passing an assessment, she had the Vessel put on her prize, a Guardian Ribbon housing a warrior spirit. Placing

The guard's comment was not lost on her but Bella was not here to argue again. She gritted her teeth and took a deep breath, stepping off of the stair case and onto the rough earthen floor.

"I... I'm going by Bella now," she said, swiveling her head to try and focus on him. She approached just enough so as to see him clearly before settling down. Give him space. she reminded herself. "I thought I'd come wish you a happy late Winterfest." She set down the package, letting the skin fall away to reveal three tiny wooden dolls painted sloppily with borrowed dyes.

"I brought you another gift... And an apology." She smiled tightly. "I was foolish and rude and... And i tried to force you to see things the way I do which is wrong. By doing so I invalidated your feelings and I promise it won't happen again. I hope you can forgive me."

She bowed her head and waited for a response, sheathing and unsheathing her claws anxiously. She hated how much of a hypocrite she had been. Even though she hadn't resulted to physical violence, her words had been just as vicious as Nic had been before with his vision of a perfect Safe Haven. She couldn't believe she had almost left for her proving with that for him to think upon.

{ 01 - All She'd Ever Known }
Bella was born to a cocky farm cat named Husk and a pure bred kittypet named Matt. Her parents met after the Calamity destroyed their homes and fell in love, coming to raise their new family somewhere within the Valley of Thorns. Their three kits were little blessings, the boys, Booker and Yuri, and the only girl, Bella. The family lived a somewhat happy life hidden withing the twisting maze of spires. Bella was too young and naive to understand the danger they were constantly in, but she does remember many occasions where her parents quickly abandoned their home and moved to another portion of the valley. She and her brothers played happily together and at night their father would sing and tell them stories, and for a long time, Bella's family had relative peace.
{ 02 - Shattering of Innocence }
When she was about five months old, their family was attacked by a Hellion, the first time any of them had encountered one. Instantly, Yuri fell to it's whip like tail. Her parents fought valiantly but the her mother was paralyzed by the monster's clairvoyance powers as it strangled her father. Booker ordered her to run and stayed to distract it. Terrified, she did so, abandoning them to their deaths. Lost and afraid, she stumbled upon a cat with pure white fur and a beautiful stone strapped to her shoulder named Esther. The pale furred she-cat took her in and taught her how to defend herself and how to best avoid the Ashen. She also introduced her to the Pilgrim faith. Being lost and guilty, Bella latched onto it. Esther gave her a new name - Eden - teaching her the Pilgrim's Pledge, instructing her not to recite it until the day she was ready to take the responsibility on herself. They grew close very quickly. Bella began to see Esther as a mentor and did her very best to make Esther proud. Shortly after, Esther and Eden were attacked by a stray Fowl. They managed to kill it, but Esther had been wounded badly. Eden tried the best she could to fix her up, but she didn't know what to do and there were no herbs that grew in the ashy soil. She could maybe find some at Everbloom but that was a day or so away and if she were to go fetch them, she would leave Esther undefended. The two decided to make their way to Everbloom together. A day or two after they set off, a beam of light pierced the darkness a ways off, and a call came from far off. Both cats were drawn to the light, but Everbloom was closer and they needed to heal Esther. It was slow going, but after about a week or so of traveling whenever they could and stopping frequently to fight Ashen and to rest, they reached Everbloom. Unfortunately, by that time, Esther's wounds were infected. They used all the herbs they could, even eating some everfruit, but Esther knew she wouldn't last long. Eden promised to stay until Esther died and the two had a moon or two to come to terms before the day finally came. Eden buried her mentor below the roots of the tree, spending a whole night sitting vigil over her. The next morning, after eating a bit of everfruit and a small mouse, Eden set off to find the light they had seen. She couldn't remember where it was so she made her way up the dark spire. Again, going was slow. Eden had to hide often to avoid the Ashen. She reached half way up the mountain feeling week and tired. But there, in the distance, was a glowing light shining upon an asylum of green. She went down to the Valley of Thorns and spent about a moon there, hunting and regaining her strength withing a sanctuary she knew well. Finally, she was ready. She hurried back up the mountain, located the light and made the trip down to Safe Haven. Here she received the name Firpaw and began training as a Vanguard under Wolftail.{ 03 - TITLE }
She and her mentor Wolftail quickly grew close and she came to see him as a father figure. She also met Bathsheba, a Pilgrim born and raised on the Isle of Light, to whom she latched onto immediately. Bathy's motherly nature fostered the young cat and they also grew close, close enough that Firpaw began to sleep in the same den as the elderly seeker and her daughter Bellatrix. Firpaw spent every day training and looking after Bathy, barely having time to socialize with her peers. One day, while exploring the Valley of Thorns for her training, she was ambushed by a nytemare. It caught her by surprise and pricked her, but before it could disappear it was slain by a handsome golden tom. He introduced himself as Father Nicholas, a Pilgrim, and escorted her out of the valley. Enraptured by his commanding golden presence, Firpaw invited him to haven. He told her he would consider it and gave her a Vessel of Light, a Pilgrim artifact that she instantly treasured more than anything. She asked Littlestep to put it on a necklace for her and, after successfully passing an assessment, she had the Vessel put on her prize, a Guardian Ribbon housing a warrior spirit. Placing

The guard's comment was not lost on her but Bella was not here to argue again. She gritted her teeth and took a deep breath, stepping off of the stair case and onto the rough earthen floor.

"I... I'm going by Bella now," she said, swiveling her head to try and focus on him. She approached just enough so as to see him clearly before settling down. Give him space. she reminded herself. "I thought I'd come wish you a happy late Winterfest." She set down the package, letting the skin fall away to reveal three tiny wooden dolls painted sloppily with borrowed dyes.

"I brought you another gift... And an apology." She smiled tightly. "I was foolish and rude and... And i tried to force you to see things the way I do which is wrong. By doing so I invalidated your feelings and I promise it won't happen again. I hope you can forgive me."

She bowed her head and waited for a response, sheathing and unsheathing her claws anxiously. She hated how much of a hypocrite she had been. Even though she hadn't resulted to physical violence, her words had been just as vicious as Nic had been before with his vision of a perfect Safe Haven. She couldn't believe she had almost left for her proving with that for him to think upon.
