Art!

But fo real I sturggle with midday lighting, if felt good to push myself and do something new and learn Also noticing my watermark makes it look grainy as hell >.>

I have been working on pieces for daays lmao but it makes me happy and I can feel and see my real time progress. I'm so grateful to be able to do this and have to motivation/time/ and fucking mental energy! Long ago, doing pieces like this really took it out of me and would make me feel really bad after all the work because I felt like I wasted my time and like it wasn't getting anywhere...that's not the case now Thank you past me for all the work, time, and effort you have put in to being present me. I've felt like I've been in a massive fog for months, stuggling ASF, but this has slowly led me back to what feels like myself.

Soooo that being said, enjoy my art! I am available for commission if you are at all interested please note me! I'm also new to HARPG and looking for story or stable affiliates if anyone is interested   We are an English centred barn that also expands into specialised events like archery but the centre of us at Bloodstone is that some of the staff aren't human!

In an effort to combine my two main and only groups of characters, my love for HARPG, and my desire to interact and have a community, I created Bloodstone acres. Bloodstone with spin off into my Universe for a graphic novel series, most of my character's horses have unknown info because some of their lineage is in a different realm, and I intend to touch on it later
So note me if you're curious about anything~

#eclipsesucks I want to be able to fav things easily again!

One week later from the flight...

It was not hot, at all. It was actually fucking cold! It was a healthy 34 back home, perfect Isa weather, now it barely teased sticking at 3. Isa thought to herself wrapped in an old blanket, won from her childhood pony days. Achates snorted his agreements and if he could hear her thoughts, giving a full body shake and a small grunt.

Isa and Hanna had travelled to Rising Star Farm almost immediately after their flight. The horses settled into the new stable almost immediately, happy to be on the ground and happy to have fresh grass to eat. Isa thought after some days she would begin to acclimate a little but this new weather threw her off, it was cold in a way she did NOT like.

"I'll get him groomed, you'll check your round, yeh?" The familiar voice came from around the dark red mare, followed by Hanna's you-need-to-take-a-walk look.

Isa sighed, thankful for her friend's observational skills and nodded, "Thank you, that would be lovely." She purred already floating away before she could get a response to move her cold morning body. Hours would go by before her class and she knew it would be the perfect time now to set her intentions for her ride and get her energy straight. As Hanna watched her friend walk away, she shook her head at her mare.

“And maybe this will be us one day, huh, Hel?” She combed her fingers through the mane of her mare who happily ate her hay.

Her love gaze was only interrupted when she heard an accent float across the stalls, it was as if the whole barn held its breath as a voice of a woman spoke.

“Yes, I already spoke to the owner of the stallion,” The voice said clearly in something that was very Eastern European, potentially Russian, but Hanna couldn’t quite determine. “The girls, however, I am not sure if now would be ze right-” She stopped as if interrupted, only a wall separating Hanna and the woman, Hanna’s stomach churned. She didn’t know why but she felt somehow it was related to her...that somehow her and Isa could be the girls she was referring to. Her thoughts were interrupted when the voice began to speak again, almost as if it were a low rumbling growl.

“Look.” Her words bit, sharp as a knife and as cold as ice, “I understand that the rest of the pack may respect you and deem you true enough,” A throaty rumble echoed from the woman threateningly as she paused “but  I feel like you are being rash and irresponsible. You could endanger more than just us for your foolishness and you were not awarded such a position to squander it to appease some kind of sick need to play with your prey.” She barked, “We need to get it done before it is too late and someone else finds out, you are not the only one who would be after-” She stopped dead as footsteps came from the far aisle, Hanna head the tapping of her boot heel haste from the second footprints and suddenly felt very cold despite the amount of jackets she had layered herself in.

What could that have been? Was she talking...about Isa and I? ...I am...Are WE, in danger?

She frowned at her thoughts, welcoming the voice of an American coming from the second footsteps, greeting their horse and stepping into her stall to prepare for their class. Hanna groomed Helios somberly, attempting to connect to her happy place and taking the opportunity to try and desensitize her mare to the world before moving to prepare Achates for his class.

- h o u r s later -

"Looks great!" Hanna gleamed up at Isa, handing her a bottle of hater and taking up Achates. "Can't even tell that he just got off the plane from across the world!"

Achates coat shone silver and gold in the midday sun, his forelock was braided, and the man was looking dapper as hell. Isa grinned ear to ear, happy to have gotten over her fog from the morning. She was feeling free and able and looking forward to stepping into the show ring for the first time in what felt like ever.

"Thanks! He feels good!" Isa patted the cresty grey neck fondly. Hanna and Isa mused on what the day would bring as they wandered closer to the center of the barn layout and to the arena. They both looked at the onlookers with curiosity, while waiting for Isa's ride. The dark haired woman could feel her heart beginning to jump and thump in her chest, instantly her stress had Achates tossing his head and shifting his weight. Hanna patted Isa's leg, drawing her from her thought and causing her to snap her eyes to the redhead.

"It will be foiiine." Hanna's Aussie accent rang out a bell, clear and piercing through Isa's turbulent thoughts.

"Thanks." The brunette smiled fondly of her friend, patiently waiting and attuning to Achates, listening to the stallion's deep, slow, and powerful breath. The way he swished his tail side to side as if he was flicking it in anticipation, eager to show off and fly over the jumps.

Once the bell rang, Isa was ready, she nudged Achates forward with a wide smile and a twinkle in her eyes. She was ready and determined, Achates immediately knew what he was asked and stepped into his uphill canter gracefully, his neck round and round with ears forward, scanning for his next flight path. Isa slowed him to a haltin the centre of the ring, lightly rocking her weight back in her seat and opening her hip joints to encourage Achates to raise his back and halt square. The stallion complied perfectly with what he was asked and was rewardly with a pat.

"Alright, boy. We can do this." Isa grinned as her stallion snorted and shook his head. After an eager salute, they were off.

Much of Isa's nerves spun from the fact she was on her own as a rider for the first time in her life. Isa had always had trainers or coaches that would help her execute most of her rides, though Hanna was indeed a great help and eye, she always made Isa think for herself and would only nudge her when necessary. With a slow breath and a small gulp, Isa nudged her thoughts aside and focused on herself and her horse, how he felt, how fast they were going.

The first jump came and went in a blur, but no rail. Isa puffed and regained herself.

You have to stay with him, if you lock out, he wonders where you are and pulls away. Isa could hear Hanna in her head, she sank deeper into her seat and nudged Achates as the second jump came up, the stallion getting much more lift and frame, setting him up perfectly for the two one strides following.

"Good boooy, Achates." Isa called to her stallion, relaxing into her seat and focusing on her conversation.

In what seemed like no time, the team had made it over every obstacle, not a rail touched. Isa patted her stallion profusely, grinning ear to ear and walking to Hanna.

"I told you it would be great!" The readhead chuckled and patted her friend's leg while holding Achates for Isa to dismount.

"Thanks to you being such a great friend and support!" Isa hugged her friend, glancing back at the score board, her and Achates were more than a few seconds ahead of everyone in their division -- putting them in first place.

“I think you may have a jumper as opposed to an Eventer on your hands, Isa.” Hanna chuckled.

“We’ll just have to see how he places at the horse trial next month. It would be interesting!” Isa wiggled her eyebrows at her friend who then rolled hers with a grin.

Hanna was much less excited about going back to Australia, for her it still stung to think about all the opportunities that were missed and how outcast she felt in her home. She shrugged plainly to her, smiling well enough to hide her dis ease. Her head spun a little bit fom all the things that were happening, What the HELL was her life unfolding into?
