Description
part two -> plush-lore.deviantart.com/art/…
so the majority vote was for making tutorials so here is part one.
please don't use the patterns in the tutorial this is meant to teach you how to make your own ^w^. also if you found this helpful please spread it around to anyone you think it would help!
in the beginning for me making a 4 legged pattern was difficult i did not under stand what made one good or bad. but because every time i made a 4 legged plush i made a new pattern i am quite used to making them now. i don't know if this is how everyone makes their patterns or if i do it a rather odd way, but this is the way i taught myself how to make them. i hope this helps those who are starting or those who have a hard time making patterns (really if it just helps anyone).
also if you don't quite understand something just comment down below and i will try and help as much as i can.

Yeah I was a bit weirded out about how to make the muzzle look good and stuff but I think I figured it out. I'm going to do a test pattern today ;u;

Oh I just looked at a bunch of pony head templates and edited it slightly. XD I think I might wait to see how your tutorial looks though because I had a bit of trouble today with the head.

I am glad it helps! And when I first started sewing I promised myself if I got good enough I would try and help others start or progress.

It really does! well, you most certainly have fufilled that promise! I really am begging to have a greater understanding of the ethics of sewing and pattern making thanks to a number of tutorials (most particularly your's!) and patterns that have been provided for free-use. Thank you so much for your help! I'm working on cave lion charecters for a friend and this really helps with the body construction! Now onto figuring out the heads and manes!!

Thank you very much! I hope they turn out ok as well
oh a head tutorial? That would be splendid!
is it a continuation from the pokemons that you made bodies for? Or completely different? Either way, I'm excited to see that when it's done!
I do look forward to seeing more of your amazing work too in the future.
Thanks again

Yes it will be a continuation from the pokemon I started. I might add a couple others so people get the idea of how to make their own. And thank you ^w^

You are amazing ^^ Thank you so much. I've been making patterns but always wanted someone to try to explain to me the "Science" behind making a plush pattern. This was great to help me understand how to make the curves of the inner legs, been stumped on my first few I made and pretty much gave up making plush. I wanted to try again and thought I'd try once more to see if someone could explain it. Again, Thank you ^^ Next think I'll have to see about finding out how to round out a odd shaped head, why there are tucks in some spots and how to wrap my head around making different snouts and sewing 'V' shapes together without the point going all blaaaaa

Hi, quick question! How would I know how wide the make the belly pattern? I've read how to make the belly pattern a few times or ten and it's less confusing now I'm just not sure about the width.
Thanks so much for all your tutorials! They really help a new sewer like me out.

RoyallyPlushed In reply to Kikwi-Keeper [2014-01-26 16:20:50 +0000 UTC]
I would say for small plushies keep it around 1 inch medium around 1-2 ish inches and large I would say do what you think looks right. It's more about trying it out. That is the best way to learn.

hi I have a quick question how can you make a plushe posable
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
RoyallyPlushed In reply to WolfHybrid5 [2014-01-10 02:06:16 +0000 UTC]
you add a wire base in it. i guess you would do something like this posableartdolls.deviantart.com… but with out the clay parts.
👍: 0 ⏩: 2
WolfHybrid5 In reply to RoyallyPlushed [2014-01-10 02:16:39 +0000 UTC]
one more question how do you think I would put the wire bace into the plush
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
RoyallyPlushed In reply to WolfHybrid5 [2014-01-10 02:46:21 +0000 UTC]
i would say as you make it place it in the push when it is not stuffed. then sew the last of the plush around it if that makes seance.
