Hi.Β Your tutorial is fabulous!Β My son has begun asking me to make him Pokemon plushes, so I have been searching all over trying to find patterns.Β I can sew a little, but am not very good at creating the patterns and proportions.Β Is there a way to print the pattern so I can trace the correct size for the pieces?Β Can't wait to get started sewing.Β After this he wants me to make a Porygon Z and a Ditto: )Β Thank you for sharing, as I realize how time consuming it must be to figure all of this out and create a tutorial: )Β Kind regards!Β

I want to make a larger Drifloon, so I was wondering if you could make a larger scale pattern?

okay so he is striped and has kinda like a slug ish body. if you don't mind i will put up a basic sketch of the patter on you page. and from there you can edit it to look more like yours.

welcome to plushie making!! i am so glad you are interested! i am here to help with anything and everything.
in picture 5 i sewed the tear oval shapes together in pairs then in pic 6 i took those two pairs and put the out sides facing in (the out sides are the side that does not show the seem you sewed) then sewed them together leaving a small space not sewn so after you can turn it inside out.

RoyallyPlushed In reply to Southrobin [2013-06-05 14:54:20 +0000 UTC]
no no its okay XD. well after i pinned it all together like it show i sewed around the outer rim of the circle (which is the 2 pieces that i just sewed together then put together out side facing in) and then left a small gap from where i started and where i finished so i can turn it inside out. then after that i tuned it inside out and stuffed it so it became a ball.
hope i describe the right part

This is super awesome!
See, I made a Drifloon a couple of years, and I thought it was OK. But his puff atop his head....was absolutely horrid. But now that I see how you do it....my future Drifloons will look so much better!
I definitely will try this out in the near future!

krystalfan-2 In reply to RoyallyPlushed [2013-05-02 22:14:11 +0000 UTC]
What a coincidence XD
It's more of a fest than a con (my bad). It's named Otafest, a gathering to celebrate the Japanese pop culture (anime, manga, video games, etc). It's during the May long weekend where I live, and I'm super excited!
Are you going to a con yourself?

I'll be going as Shadow Link from the Four Sword Manga, and the other costume (for my brother) is going to be a Magikarp.
Sounds like fun! Who will you be?

Really cute (:
Did you use a sewing machine for the head/ball or did you hand sew it? If you hand sewed, what stitch did you use?
