Hey there, question! I was wondering if you would do the same thing with feet? I have a red character with blue/mint feet. I just need help with how to do different colored feet!

Thank you for making these tutorials! I've had problems sewing a few plushie patterns on my own, and am thinking about making a few pokemon that I cannot find patterns for. This will help tremendously.

looks really interesting! I would love to try it out myself! Im afraid of possibly ruining it though and throw away all the money it would cost.
Is it hard for someone who has never done something like this before? ><" ;;
thank you for sharing this tutorial either way! <3

Hy there, a fellow sewer here
When I didn't do my first plushie I had a huge mental blockade and just wouldn't touch it because I just didn't dare. But once I did: I'll be honest it really failed at the first try. But then I opened the seams and started over. And made a new mistake. So I opened again and started over again. But in the end I had so much more knowledge and experience and by now it's really easier If you're afraid because of the fabric cost I suggest you work with fleece first
It doesn't unravel so it's easy to work with and it's super cheap

this is very very helpful, thank you. i made a horse plushie a little while ago from a pattern i found online... it kind of failed, and now i know why. i was looking for a new pattern for future plushies, and thanks to this i can make my own so thank you. do you have any tips for patterns for the plushie's heads?

If I have a more detailed character, with both large and small markings, how do I suggest I go about adding those on? For example, I'd be interested in making a plushie of fav.me/d7u063p . How would I go about adding the markings? I don't think paint would be a very good idea, since it would ruin the feel of the fabric /:
Also, do you plan on making a third part to this tutorial for making heads? I really want to make plushies of my OCs and but I don't know how I'd go about making the head in proportion the same way you do.
Last question(s), how would I do the hair and mane? I have no idea how I'd do that xD
The tail, too. since it's a thinner tail with the end, would I still sew it normally? I know I'd need to put a wire in there if I want it to keep the shape. I've done a few plushies before, so I'll need practice before making a full-out character, but I'd love to make some of my own and even maybe sell some if I get good enough ovo

Would you be able to make a video on this? My brain can't seem to get around the concepts of making the underbelly by tracing...
Even if it is just a quick on shot with a web cam or phone cam, I'd much appreciate it! I am trying to make a functional bulbasaur plush whose bulb doubles as a bag.

I am sorry I am in the middle of prepping for a convention so I have no time. My only suggestion for the time being is reread over the first tutorial I explain each step.
also try it out with scrap fabric if you can.

how would you sow a different color onto the black, say umbreons markings, and keeping the same effect as when the colors meet on a shinx, so it just 'blends' together without a seam?

RoyallyPlushed In reply to Foxx-Glove [2014-05-28 14:20:45 +0000 UTC]
well i know people that sew it into the patter such that they cut a hole to put it in. but what i do is i sew them on top of the already made plush like a detail.

I just wanted to say that i really appreciate the time and effort you put into making this for everyone. I've always wanted to make a standing plush but could never really understand the dynamics of things, how they worked, how to make the patterns, etc. But this really cleared things up for me, as I'm sure it did for many others. Thanks again!! I really appreciate it and look forward to your next tutorial! c:
