EDIT: So the VOX Box is up now. Eagle-eyed fans (and those of you bothering to read this information section) will notice that Kate's picture has been altered. She's intended to be wearing a cocktail dress as originally this VOX was meant to take place at the Kane estate during a ball interrupted by John and Boston (with a small cameo with Bette and Lincoln March). However, after having spent considerable time Photoshopping Kate's evening gown I decided against putting others in formal wear and opted to rewrite the scene.I actually think this one works better.

Yes, he's essentially a amalgamation of Spider-Man and Batman as the fan who created him explained but we explained that In-Universe as him being a former partner of Black Spider, but was also a fan of Batman.

I like the new origin for the Hook, and I don't mind the time shift, but might I ask why you changed his background as a circus performer and removed Rama Kushna?
And what's with the parallel scars underneath his eyes?

The "scars", I think, are meant to be wrinkles to show he was emaciated and exsanguinated at the time of his death.
As to the other matters, the acrobat story is a bit obscure and felt outdated. It also was a necessary change to tell this version if the origin story. Also, Rama Kushna is not removed from the origin, I just ran out of room and had to omit that mention. The ritual made Boston a revenant but it was later that he was given some tutelage as to his nature and his abilities while looking for a way to lift his curse in Nanda Parbat. It was there that Boston met Rama Kushna.

Interesting as always, and now with this backstory, Deadman's picture makes sense now for why he has bloody hands. Probably got in a few punches in before he was murdered.
Although, I am curious about something, you said that you wanted us to know his story now because of so much of the reimagining with him, and the only thing to finish in this would be his VOX box. But... was this all? Not saying it's bad but I just feel that he should have 2 separate folders, one for when he was Boston, and one as Deadman.
Although if this is it then I do respect your decision.

Technically the bloody hands are from him clutching his chest in his last moments. The "D" on his belly was a sigil written in his blood as part of the ritual he was killed to power.
After the holidays, I'll consider expanding his story in one form or another.

It is Boston's twin brother's name in the comics... and his arch-enemy, Hook, doesn't have a revealed full name (going by Matson or Roy Martin).
