Again the Batman of this verse seems weak...stepped upon by everyone. With thisΒ weird soap opera teen drama feel kind of hanging over everything.

"Soap opera teen drama" has nothing to do with the characters age. It has to do with the character's interactions and the focus of their stories. In this case a focus on interpersonal drama and relationships you'd likely would see at Marvel nowadays. Not exactly the stuff of gripping action.

Again, it's character development. Read the comics sometimes. There are plenty of situations like this between the pages of people in tight leather grabbing each other and groaning.

Well E27βs visuals are mostly character portraits and Roy has stated he prefers character dialogue to action. Probably gets repetitive to write a bunch of ObMods and Voxes that are only β(grunt, thud, whack, bone break, gun shot).β
