I wasn't aware Merlin's spell ever caused Nimue to go blind

I was hoping for the origin where she beat Death by using a fortune-telling. But this origin is pretty cool, too
But I'm not seeing any mention of her narcotics abuse. Did you take that out of her character? I'm just wondering.

Yeah, Merlin's always been a little petty.Β
Ah, the Heretic's true weakness: psychoanalysis.Β

Nice to see Heretic on the defense for once. Excellent work as always, Roy.

What is an E.V.P. Filter? Electromagnetic? Ectoplasmic?

Electronic Voice Phenomenon. It's a method by which you can supposedly record the voices of ghosts.
I highly doubt it's validity in real life, but for our purposes in a comic book world, it stands in as a way for Babs to record Deadman's voice.
I depict it in my other series, Zodiac Pack, in a much more "realistic" fashion.
You read up on it more here: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electr⦠or for a fun scary movie about it, check out White Noise with Michael Keaton

How would you propose other members of the League would see Deadman?
The Netflix movie, Spectral, turned me onto hyper-spectral imaging, which I've begun to adopt into my own "fantasy explained by science" -or science-based fantasy- series

Justice League or League of Assassins? I'll assume the JL.
In general, anyone with magical abilities should be able to see and hear Boston. Also, maybe people with super sight could also find ways to see him. So... Wonder Woman, Doctor Fate, the Hawks, Superman, Power Girl, Martian Manhunter, Cyborg, Icon, and the like should all be able to see him or figure out ways to see him.
For tech savvy heroes, I imagine Blue Beetle or Batman could whip up some goggles or something (if they don't have them already) to be able to see the Deadman.

I like the rhyme of Blood and Etrigan but the full rhyme is "Yarva Demonicus Etrigan. Change, change the form of man. Free the prince forever damned. Free the might from fleshy mire. Boil the blood in heart of fire. Gone, gone the form of man, Rise the demon Etrigan!"

I know. Most of the time in the comics, only the last two lines are used... so that's what I opted for, considering the space I had.

So if my math is correct, Xanadu's vision will come back to her at some point this year, correct?

Proof that Merlin was a d*ck, though I suppose it runs in the family, given how his half-brother turned out.

For those of us, like me, who have limited magic knowledge how does the seven and seventy part of her curse affect her?

She is blinded for 77 years for each infraction. It's a part I made up. As far as I know in the comics, she is just blinded and whenever she she finds a way to cure herself, the curse finds a way to blind her again

Seven and seventy=seventy-seven.
Assumed it was a different give and take situation

Oh no... just an archaic way of saying 77.
