These 'S' Dragons are adorable!!! I wish I had the eyesight to do something like this. LOL Old eyes and old hands don't handle beads so well. But Kudu's to your talent and imagination! There can never be too many Dragons!

Thanks for posting this pattern. It's so much fun! I'm having a little trouble with the tail, though. Do you do all the peyote rows and then connect to the tail base, or do you connect to the tail base after each row of peyote?

I connect to the base after each row
It's harder to make the transition look nice if you make the tail separately... But it's also possible.

Treasures/delica are cylinder beads. Slightly bigger than size 15 beads, but smaller than size 11.

Hi! I'd like to do this for a friend too and I have no idea how big that "big bead" (the one the dragon wraps around) should be. How many mm should it be?
I'm pretty clueless in this craft so please excuse my silly question ^^"

Something like 12mm should be fine, I use anything from 8mm to 5 cm. Smaller than 10mm can be tricky to deal with, though.
