Rob speaks only when spoken to unless it’s from a pokemon or absolutely necessary to do so. He gets along better with pokemon rather then most people due to his lack of trust towards them. He’s a person that doesn’t take friendship for granted which is why there’s few within his circle of friends. Despite this and his dry humor he’s not that bad of a guy. He’d go through harms way to protect a friend or to save a life. He’s no super hero and he knows it but it doesn’t hurt to try… or maybe it does.

The first ten years of Rob’s life took place in Saffron City, one of the busiest and largest cities in the Kanto region. Being the heart of the region, Intersecting between Celadon City, Vermilion City, Lavender Town, and Cerulean City, there were a lot of trainers coming and going. Rob enjoyed watching the random battles that would take place in open streets and parks. Despite the constant activity through out the city, Rob eventually grew bored and annoyed with it. He wanted to explore the world and learn about the fascinating creatures that we know today as Pokemon.

Rob soon obtained his first pokemon and left his home to make his way to Lavender Town. He had heard of it being a nice quiet place to stop for a rest and that there was a lot of history behind it as well. (Why not, right?) It was here that changed his out look on the world. He had learned of the story of the Pokemon Tower, the hundreds of pokemon that had died, the restless spirits that still roam within it, and the evil organization known as Team Rocket. Rob vowed that he’d do all that he could to stop Team Rocket and their corrupted doings as long as he lived.

Rob continued his journey since then, catching pokemon, battling, collecting badges, and even tracking down Team Rocket to foil their plans (and just make their lives suck in general) as much as possible. Rob travels often between the Kanto and the Johto regions to do so. To this very day he still visits the Pokemon Tower in Lavender Town to pay his respects.

Kaiser (Ky-Zer)

Species: Charizard
Ability: Blaze
Nature: Hardy
Held Item: Charcoal

Rob has had Kaiser since he was a little Charmander. Being the first pokemon in the party the two go way back. They have a great understanding for each other knowing what the other one is most likely thinking. Kaiser, unlike most other charizards isn’t the stereotypical hot head of a dragon but rather oddly collected. Maybe too collected. Being second in command (Rob as first. Duh.) Kaiser believes that problems within the party will eventually sort out themselves.

Vice

Species: Scizor
Ability: Swarm
Nature: Serious
Held Item: Quick Claw

Before Vice was part of the party he was a scyther captured by Team Rocket. They experimented on him ruthlessly until one day they tested the ‘Metal Coat’ which resulted in his evolution. The Scizor was now in a rage, angry at everything and everyone around him. Team Rocket struggled with their attempts to contain the angry pokemon. At the same time Rob had infiltrated that very base and proceeded to wreck the joint eventually stumbling across the enraged Scizor. A battle commenced and Scizor was captured prior to escaping the collapsing Rocket hideout. The scizor now known as Vice has warmed up slightly since then. Very serious and straight to the point. He enjoys when he’s being used to crush the forces of Team Rocket.

Topaz (Toe-Paz)

Species: Umbreon
Ability: Synchronize
Nature: Gentle
Held Item: Shell Bell

Rob had helped a family find their missing Evee. Not long after the rescue, Rob got a phone call that their evee had an egg and that he could have it as a ‘thank you’. That egg eventually hatched into an evee as well. After traveling long days he’d spend the nights training and playing with the little fluff ball, it wasn’t long after that before she evolved into a beautiful umbreon. Topaz is very playful and loves getting attention from people. She looks at Rob as a parent (he’s her mommy! 8D ) due to being the first thing she ever rested eyes on. Topaz is Robs little princess.

Ray

Species: Luxray
Ability: Rivalry
Nature: Lax
Held Item: Expert Belt

This guy was caught when he was a shinx. Rob nicknamed him Ray at the time, trying to be clever, matching his name with his type. Rob could kick himself now for it since the nickname is part of the species final form name. (It was unknown to Rob that the final form was called ‘Luxray’ at the time). If he could have a nickel for every time a trainer made a snarky comment he’d be a wealthy man. Ray however could care less. In his eyes he’s there to have fun aannnd maybe for the looks. He’s bringing sexy back. Yeah! (Yes. I went there.)

Omen (Oh-Men)

Species: Haunter
Ability: Levitate
Nature: Quirky
Held Item: Spell Tag

Before Omen was caught he lived in the Pokemon tower. One day he saw Rob visiting and grew fascinated with him. Omen then stalked Rob from his shadow for nearly a month after before Rob realized (There were many sleepless nights that month). The haunter was then confronted and caught by Rob. It was strange how he barely put up a struggle. Rob assumes that Omen wanted to be caught by him but no straight answers were ever received. Omen has an odd, creepy sense of humor. He floats around often laughing and making goofy faces just to get reactions out of people and other pokemon. He also has a habit where he’ll try to eat most things he comes in contact with. (This includes nomming on a persons arm. Because he can.) Omen is the comedy relief of the group.

Ruby ( Rue-Bee)

Species: Golduck
Ability: Damp
Nature: Quiet
Held Item: Mystic Water

Rob caught ruby effortlessly when she was a psyduck. She was confused 80% of the time and not the brightest crayon in the box (if ya know what I mean). Rob found alternate ways to train her rather then intense battles with other trainers in order to protect her from getting too mentally stressed (To be blunt, more brain damage). After a period of time she eventually evolved into a golduck and now is a great asset to the party. However, she’s a lot quieter then she used to be. Rob thinks that she’s that way due to her being embarrassed over her pre-evolved form. She’s very mature as of right now.
