Description
The 9x23mm ammunition is the most used ammunition among the submachine guns of the Republic and its allies. It is a successor to the classic 9x19mm but with better ballistic capabilities. Its longer casing allows it to carry more explosive charge which helps increase muzzle velocity and improvements in production materials improve its strength and performance. By the 22nd century, all submachine guns and pistols would have versions to fire this ammunition.
SM.45: A kind of hybrid between machine pistol and submachine gun, this compact weapon with decent capabilities is characterized by its light weight, great maneuverability and rate of fire.
Manufactured by Corac, it can be found in the vast majority of the republic's armed forces, as well as in its allied armies.
