Information
This is the official line-up image for "The Order of the Black Cloaks," my guild on my upcoming RPG forum Alcryst (more information at Alcryst-RPG ). They are an underworld brotherhood specializing in every sin, from thievery to murder and anything in between. All members undergo a long initiation process, securing bonds until others will vouch for their reliability; once trusted, they slice their Eye of the Order tattoo with their new Blood Dagger and swear to the Code . Their tattoo reflects their status: the simple black for an Initiate, a scar slashed through for Blood Brother, a gold outline for the most respected elite Rangers, and an iris gem for the presently reigning King of Thieves. Treasuring their Order's symbol, each also adorns a black cloak, sacred above all and taken, well, deathly serious. You can learn more about the guild in their promotional video here or dropping a comment/note to me, in the Alcryst group, or even through the Cbox where everyone is welcome!
The image reflects all legitimate, current members. As new Black Cloaks join and old ones leave, the picture will be updated. My aim is to portray each one as accurately and appealingly as possible, using their real weapons, general color schemes, average attire, and other details that fit their day-to-day appearances. Beneath their name is their rank, which will also be updated as they progress through the tiers. Subjects may be uploaded individually to my stash (if requested) to be used by their roleplayers as desired.

Absolutely! It's a human feature, not horse (they get herds for similar purposes), and it does cost quite a bit of money to start so no one could make one right off the bat (it wouldn't be months upon months of saving up, though), but yeah--available to all. And it can be literally anything you can conceive. Make a brothel, a circus, a kidnapping ring, a mercenary guild, a fight club, a bard school, just a group of people who all have a really strong fondness for oranges.. xD You get to make up the purpose, rules, joining requirements, ranks, etc. It's definitely very fun to do and it's a great way to leave a lasting, influential impact on Alcryst, too!

well I have two.
one would be a herd for stellar: Equilibrium. all based on keeping the balance of light and dark (that is stellars thing)
and for Duvessa, probably some sort of guild that would work as a hierchy/monarchy (?) with dark magic and the shadows and such

Oh I really like the herd idea--especially the name. It fits your character really well too from what I've read when looking at their info on dA.

Oh yes. Theres so much more then what on DA to. I did try to establish on LTTS as "guardians of stratera" but it just didnt work out, plus it couldnt be a real herd due to site lore. But im super excited to make it real on alcryst! Basically the idea is like. There is no real "leader" in the sense rhat they are higher up, as they are all equals (balllanccce) but there isna leader in the sense that they would lead meetings and such. Iguess they do have a bit of superiority. In some ways.

That sounds freakin' awesome. There are a handful of default ranks in herds, but they can all be overridden, new ones added, etc., however the creator desires. Like guilds, they can have a purpose or theme, and the creator(s) can establish any joining requirements, rules, whatever fits their fancy. So it should definitely work on Alcryst and seems like a very fun addition!
