Yeah. Me, too. It'd be ironic that Scootaloo spends her youth chasing after the dream of being cool, only to become the populist opposite of "cool." Those few of us who aren't populist, however, know that physics really is cool.

I wish I had received the math gene so many Asperger's people get. I would have become a cosmologist, astronomer or theoretical physicist instead of going to law school. I can get my hear around the concepts,but I am hopelessly mathlexic.
I have been reading Brian Greene, Lawrence Krauss, Michio Kaku, books on quantum mechanics, theoretical physics and cosmology for the last few months, and voraciously.
FYI, there's a GREAT course from the Teaching Company - Alex Filippenko's "Introduction to Astronomy" that I cannot recommend highly enough. He's a brilliant astronomer and a terrific, funny, engrossing lecturer. The great ones make it look so easy; it's no wonder that he's been voted Best Prof at Cal many times. I found it at the library and watched all 96 half-hour lectures.
