Description
This is something I had hidden uncomplete in my folders for a while, which I sketched around the time I made my first fanart for Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. I really enjoy King Boo as an antagonist (especially as Luigi's unspoken 'nemesis') and I thought it was necessary to push myself out of my comfort zone artisitically because I have been stuck at a plateau unfortunately.
I like how his crown gem turned out, but I have mixed feelings about the shading and the lighting because I find those features more difficult (and not easy to find proper tutorials for). Oh well, gotta stop feeling nervous about doing something new, even with the possibility of it becoming absolute trash by the end of it.

one of the really fun things about working outside your comfort zone is that you can make a mess and still learn a lot. i like how you added the purple highlights even to the white boos, it gives the jewel a lot of presence in the picture.

I think Luigi's Mansion is a game I've wanted to play for a while now, and your fanart is inspiring me more and more to buy it on 3DS.
