Description
I was gonna do the monthly reference for the amazing Draw-Along group this past month but all the distractions happened and I was both late in finishing this and definitely took more than the allotted 20 minutes!I used this reference from SalsolaStock .Β Made with mechanical pencil on 9"x12" bristol.

this is so cool and totally worth spending more than 20 minutes! I love the action, the contrasts, the fine detail and the background! <3

Haha, thank you! I vowed never to do fur again by the time I finished it but I'm really pleased with the result!

your welcome!
sow question, the mechanical pencils - do they come in different lead types? i cant imagine trying to do my portraits all in one size/hardness of lead...

I'm not sure if they come in different hardnesses. I have both .5 and .7mm thickness in pencils but I mainly use just the .5 drafting pencil. There is a photo of the type in My Scraps if you're interested. I don't know if this is helpful but I hope so!

This is gorgeous I'm not surprised it took over 20 minutes, the detail in the fur is perfect and must have taken a lot of concentration!

Aww, thank you! It took probably closer to 20 hours, honestly. In my eyes, that makes your 20 min watercolor version all the more impressive!Β
