if you have your taskbar centered, it wont change unless you use "Rebuild_Icon_Cache.bat" and CCleaner.

The reason i don't use "Windows 7 Start Button Changer" is i hate installing stuff on my PC.

In addition, the included "Explorer.exe" includes other icons, not just the Start Orb.

If you'd like to try again:
You can get CCleaner here: [link]
Or you can try your hands at modding it yourself w/ Resource Hacker: [link]

F.Y.I
Sometimes.. after updating Windows via Updates..
Microsoft will replace "Explorer.exe" and "Shell32.dll" to the default files.

If you notice any visual changes after updating..
Just re-apply those 2 files.

My volume icon has disappeared from the taskbar. What file edit caused it to be removed and is there a way to fix it?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

RudeBoySes In reply to Dualhammers [2012-02-16 16:04:19 +0000 UTC]

that shouldn't have happened.. just double-check to make sure you installed the correct version into the correct location.

Keep in mind as you change back & forth that Windows cache icons for faster browsing.. so you have to rebuild the icon cache if you still see the old icons. Use the included "Rebuild_Icon_Cache.bat" file.

the volume icons are in "sndvolsso".

seem to have lost my comment oO, is it possible to get rid of the transparacy in the top of the windows? it glitches when i turn it off through settings.

good job and awesome theme!

RiZZaH69 In reply to ??? [2012-02-09 18:47:13 +0000 UTC]

I cant seem to turn off transparacy, the theme looks gorgeous with the whole pack installed but when i change something to the color or transparacy, the top bar goes mental glitchy.

Is there a way I can still enjoy the amazingness of this theme without transparancy?

Good work, would love to get that minor thing fixed though. 10/10

is there any way to disable transparency? I've installed theme and integration pack x64 and my windows are glasslike transparent, almost 100% transparency. Why?? ty

RudeBoySes In reply to sethengine [2012-02-07 15:54:24 +0000 UTC]

you just got Windows 7? are you kidding? LoL

- Right-click the Desktop.
- Select 'Personalize'.
- Scroll down and click 'Window Color'.
- Adjust until happy.
- If you still have your panties in a bunch, select 'Windows 7 Basic'.. that will turn off Transparency.

You might light Windows XP.. it doesn't have Transparency.

Hey thanks for the theme, but I am having some issues. I modified my system files according to the integration pack, but I am trying to undo the changes.
I did try fixing it from a back-up, but I don't think it was backed up properly so somethings were restored (i.e. Library Icons, Battery Meter, Log-in Screen), but others were not (i.e. Folder Icons). I tried a System File Checker, which also restored some things, but it is not entirely restored. So how do I go about restoring the files?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

RudeBoySes In reply to thisguy250 [2012-02-05 13:35:53 +0000 UTC]

1. boot into 'Safe Mode with Command Prompt'.
2. once Command Prompt has loaded: type 'SFC /SCANNOW'
3. Press Enter button to execute.
4. Let Windows do it's thing.. it will take a few minutes .. once it's completed.. it will tell you and ask for a restart.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

RudeBoySes In reply to RudeBoySes [2012-02-05 13:39:01 +0000 UTC]

also remember .. as stated in the instructions.. Windows cache icons for faster browsing.
So if you still see the Token Icons, you will have to rebuild the icon cache.
- download CCleaner, select 'ICON', and clean. Get here: [link]
- then use the included 'REBUILD_ICON_CACHE.bat' file.
- restart.. and you should be all set.

Ok It worked. The problem was that I did not rebuild the icon cache after cleaning it. Well thanks again.

A small bug report for you

Shadowless frames are not styled fully on the flat version of this visual style. I have since fixed it for myself but thought you would like to know.

RudeBoySes In reply to murmundamus [2012-02-01 14:19:58 +0000 UTC]

1. what is your Operating System?
2. have you applied 'Universal Theme Patcher'?

Run Universal Theme Patcher again and see if all 3 files have been patched.
It will tell you.
If all 3 files have been patched, try restarting, enable the default theme.. close out 'Personalization', then go back in and enable 'Chill'.

Sometimes after applying 'Universal Theme Patcher', you have to enable the default theme first before 3rd party themes will work completely.

hmm.. that is odd .

That's what it looks like when "Theme Patcher" hasn't been applied.

Do any theme work for you? I have a feeling it's related to Home Edition.

Hi guys...
Allways when i hit the "Take Ownership" button, it gives the ownership only to the user and not to the admin. And when I try to rename the file, it says i should get the ownership from the user to rename it

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

RudeBoySes In reply to Enilnu [2012-01-30 20:05:08 +0000 UTC]

i don't seem to have this problem, and i haven't heard anyone else mention this before.

It sounds to me like your PC is setup with multiple profiles.
The take ownership shortcut is designed to give rights to the Admin.

Try this:
- temporarily disable UAC, reboot your PC, and then try again.

Worst case scenario: i provided instructions with the Start Orb for doing this manually. If nothing works, you'll have to take ownership manually.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Enilnu In reply to RudeBoySes [2012-01-30 20:22:12 +0000 UTC]

yeah, doing it manually seems to be the only way.
