A scene i completed just a few days ago. Welcome to the suburbs of a future metropolis.Models/render in Cinema4D, postwork in Photoshop/Universe Image Creator.

Great renders. They capture my imagination for the future.
It seems to be universal that artists envision futuristic cities as being very industrial, cluttered and closed in. I find it very interesting that an artist from Sweden shares this vision because the scandinavian design sensibility prefers things to be very minimalistic.

Holy cow. Every piece you've submitted here could be straight of a state-of-the-art game or even film. I really love this one especially, reminds me of Blade Runner and various Star Wars jedi games, like Jedi Knights or Knights of the Old Republic.

well, it actually doesnt really seem to be a "suburb" becuase that basically means just that, below urban, meaning between urban and rural, and this looks pretty urban to me
but anyway that doesnt matter, cause it looks good. great lighting, and i like that sort of run down feeling in it.

The entire scene took about a week to complete, although i re-used a few older models as well, mainly for the center building. Most of the scene is in fact 3D geometry. The signs, sunrays , some minor color correction and a little glow here and there were made in Photoshop and Universe Image Creator.

The sign itself is 3D but blank. I just drawed the bar letters on top, and added some outer glow to them.
