Yeah, depending on whether I'm inking or not the pencils will be either super tight or loose like these, although I've done way more rough pencils in preparation for inks to save time.

Awesome rendition of this character Rudy. I've seen it before, a main character for a christian themed comic.

Nice job, with one caveat. That advancing upper arm gave you trouble visualizing/imagining the proper order and interlacing of masses in foreshortened view.
In this view the deltoids should wrap clockwise around the arm bone, stretching up and forward to give a clear view of the arm pit. The contour line of the bicep moving front to back should break the silhouette sharing the same line with the deltoids to insert into the pit zone. The lower border line of the bicep would overlap more of the space that now shows the triceps.
