Description NOTE! DOWLOAD FOR FULL SIZE!

* Fixing in post refers to post-production. Post production is everything that happens after filming: editing, music, sound fx, visual fx, etc. Everything that needs to be cut and put together for the final film.

A little follow up to the previous page.

Not so much discussion about storyboards, but wondering why certain choices were made.
Could it be the movie had to make budget choices?

Everything here is just pure speculation, of course.

I bet the budget went to the ending credits. Seriously, that was the best part of the entire movie and I'm not just saying that because the movie ended. It was like the Dragonlance movie all over again!

Also, love the poor Komodo Rhinos. When they were first shown in the trailers, I kept telling myself that the cgi wasn't complete yet because I carefully kept track of the change in cgi as new trailers were released. The Avatar State looked different every time. Now, I think the only thing that probably kept them from just using real live Komodo dragons on set was the sceptic saliva.

Still running from that rock. XD

In the last row of panels, in the first one Haru has ties coming down from his headband. In the last two, they're gone.

...

Eh, they'll fix it in post. : P

The rhino, that rock, the lulz, epic moustacheless Haru.

And yet, I liked the movie...

... all to the tune of Yakety Sax.

These comics are so epic, it's almost worth how bad the film was.

Keep this up, and you'll make it into a cult classic!

Other famous rocks include the Indiana Jones round boulder, the monolith in 2001...

BB-K In reply to ??? [2010-08-16 14:52:08 +0000 UTC]

Yeap, true true, if only M. Night listen to fans a lot more than the film would not have been disastrous, not to mention should invite hardcore fans to have a sneak peak view of the production so THEY will be the judge. But since the damage has been done, sorry, M. Night, another of your TLA movies? Forget it, James Cameron Avatar fans are gonna praise more than you, at least that show did better than you.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

theHarechan In reply to BB-K [2010-08-24 15:05:34 +0000 UTC]

It would have been nice if he had taken in input from fans. ;_; I don't know how involved they were as executive producers, but it doesn't seem like they had much involvement. But he didn't and it's a pity. After all, we can't mess with M. Night's "vision".

God, I hate the hype around Cameron's movie and wasn't impressed when I saw it, but I'd rather watch it and then watch a sequel for it back to back than TLA one more time.

now i really look forward to see the movie. the more i learn about it, the more disappointed i get to know how poorly they seem to have handled the movie.

i am going to watch it, of course, wouldnt be the same if i didnt. But i fear that the humour i love and the things about bending in the movie .- is gone.

and to this i can only rebel and say: i hope the legend of korra is better. WAY BETTER.

thanks for the neat stories - love rastafirenation.
