I thought Istar's profile needed some updating, so I made this.

Name: Istar
Species: Dragon
Gender: Male
Age: The equivilant of a 16 year-old human
Elements: Fire, ice, and water
Fury Attacks: Creates a giant tidal wave (water), chills the air around him to absolute zero (ice), and creates a ball of flames around himself that emanates waves of fire (fire)
Likes: Being happy, friends, his sister, flying, play-fighting, being alone (sometimes).
Dislikes: Cathal, people who are mean to his sister or his friends, sadness, being helped.

Bio:
Istar is a happy yet aloof adolescent dragon. He gets rather nervous around his sister, though, because she always seems to be getting him and herself into some sort of trouble. He can use all of his breath powers perfectly, and he also has the peculiar power to create a shield around himself and others if need be.

History:

Just before Istar hatched, his father left for unknown reasons and never returned, and he was left with only a mother to care for him.

When Istar was about the equivilant of a 3 or 4 year-old human, his mother left in search of food. What she found instead was an abandoned egg, ready to hatch. She couldn't just leave it there, so she brought it home.

Almost as soon as she got there, the egg started to crack. It hatched into a beautiful green and gold female dragon chick whom Istar's mother named Emmy.

When Emmy was about the equivilant of a 2 or 3 year-old human, Istar and his mother went for a walk while Emmy was taking a nap. Not far from them, a black dragon watched, planning his attack.

He swooped down, and, noticing the approaching danger, Istar's mother protected Istar with her wing. As the dragon, named Cathal, landed in front of them, he shot a peculiar breath power at Istar's mother that drains the life out of whatever it touches.

Not knowing of this power, she let it hit her to protect Istar. She collapsed, and Istar started to panic. Realising that she had died, he started to sob softly.

Afterward, Cathal tried to corrupt him and turn him into his minion. However, Istar broke free of Cathal's corruption and ran home as fast as his legs could carry him.

Once again, I'm sorry for the hideously long background. I tried to make it shorter, but I can't.
