*Points* Look! I did that upper lip divit thingy in this one -pats slef on back-So here's Red like promised >.> took me forever... Each time I do a pic like this I say it's the last time because it takes so long and never comes out like I had invisioned... Plus the longer I spend on it to make it better, the less it seems to have much of any style (style is unrealistic- no?)
The unreliable outcome is partialy due to the procceses involved in making a picture like this... I first shade in just black and white which makes coloring it extremly difficult (becuase, as you know, red and blue convert to greyscale differently yet I make no distinction between colors as I'm shading ,... thus the color comes out wierd...bla bla bla
If anybodys interested I might just make a tutorial as I work on the next one... (As of late I have used many of the same methods as who has a wonderful tutorial on coloring)

Time... who cares 20-25 hours (damn those red clothes... and the face... and the hair... and the body....
ack everything took forever this time)created in adobe photoshop cs2 w/ wacom graphire tablet (lines included)
SO I WAS WONDERING...
should I make the eyes more blank as in my other picture 'white' or should I leave them that hazy/blind red look to them (I like it but I want to know what you think ^.^)

ya... reference is good in any form, be it pictures, magazines or other art... I actually goofed up because I used the same reference for this as I did another picture that I made >.> which is no bueno... I dont think anyone has noticed so far though

So, I am a writer (trying to be at least) and I was just running through this site randomly and I made an account simply to tell you that your work is pretty much how I picture my characters in my head. Almost Exactly (Lin's eyes are green instead of red) its fantastic. Love it.

I love the outfit on this girl. Your style is very in-depth; almost photorealistic, but theres too much art in it to make it photography. Do more like this!

Yay for lip divets! You did a wonderful job on everything, as always! The face is especially wonderful! I like the hazy colored eyes better than the blankish eyes, but the blank ones worked well with the white. It might also be cool to experiment with really clear eyes and see how that works. The nose and mouth look like they are jumping out of the page, and the belly has beautiful shading! I think I see an improvement even from white with how you shade the face especially. Alright, so now for critique, because hey, you asked for it

This is really good.... you shouldn't be sooo hard on yourself... but I have no room to talk cuz I'm my own worst critic. This is really detailed and has a really good sense of reality.

I really like the overall coloring and the the eyes look good as they are, they were actually one of the first things I honed in on when it loaded ^.^ So I'd say leave the eyes as they are! As for tutorial- sign me up! I'd love to see one from you (I need all the tutorials I can get!) Great work and we thank you for the effort for which we can stare and drool at in amazement! *reminds herself to put on a bib next time!*

You can barely get more realistic than this. As always, your anatomy skills are TO DIE FOR ARGHHHH! There is so much attention to detail in this painting, like under her lip, and the slight twinge of red on the darker part of her body.
In all honesty, ruskul, the only way I reckon you can improve this is to give her eyes the same detail you've given everything else. They look incredible anyway, but even if it doesn't fit the character (which it probably won't...) I'd love to see her with beautiful, detailed eyes.
Again, this is just incredible...please do make a tutorial, I'd love to learn how to get as good as you! <3

Noo it's not unrealistic, I find it very realistic except for the eyes. They seem a bit "distant"
