Description The following is a series of notes recovered from a copy of The Practical Application of Thaumaturgic Technology to Faster-than-Light Travel owned by Dr. ██████ ███████. Dr. ███████ was involved in a workplace murder-suicide on April 8th, 2016, seemingly a symptom of thaumaturgic radiation poisoning.

People make this mistake all the time. I'd forgive it from the layman. My wife, the kids, my mother-in-law. They're all fucking idiots. But my colleagues? They're so set in their ways. They can't see what's right in front of their fucking faces. They're too far-gone. They've dogmatically clung on to this outdated view of the truth that when reality - real reality - looks them right in the eye they can't even fucking see it.

I've done the fucking calculations. So have they. So has every scientist from here (Editor's Note: Dr. ███████ was assigned to the United States Space Force research laboratory in Houston, Texas) to Tokyo. Everyone knows they don't make sense under any existing theory of physics, but the measurements check out. We've tested them literally thousands of times. And the math checks out.

The math checks out.

That's the secret. The truth above truth. It's math. It's all in the math. Math doesn't exist, but it governs everything. Everything. You can't prove its existence, you can't prove its truth, but it's there. Why do two and two make four? Two doesn't exist, four doesn't exist, no number exists. But two and two make four. It's the rules that allows everything to be possible. And what are we doing?

The runes. Everyone wonders about the runes. Why lasers break down when a rune is carved. Why computers fry when they display them. Why most materials can keep a rune only a short while before it just...disappears. It doesn't disintegrate into its constituent particles. It disappears. The matter ceases to exist.

The runes are just bad math. That's all we do when we write them. We're just throwing out the math. We're making two and two make five. Not like the kid in kindergarten who ate too many paint chips. We're making two and two make five on a fundamental level. We're replacing our reality with a different one, one where two and two make five. And if you can make two and two make five, you can throw out gravity, you can throw out the speed of light, you can throw out everything else. But every time we do, we lose a little bit of our world. The world where two and two make four. A world that makes sense. That keeps us alive. That keeps us existing. And what are we replacing it with?

Two and two make five.

What will be long term results for Earth's biosphere & Human civilization in this time line if we continue to use thaumaturgic technology?

I'm guessing that not only technology can't handle this new reality, but this Scientist as well?

Human minds in general can't really deal with this new reality.

Clearly a physicist or some such dabbler. Any proper mathematician will then ask "so what do you get, in this new situation,  when you take two from five?" vimeo.com/43732205

Mathematicians in this timeline have a lot of mental health issues. Well, more of them than OTL.

Based on that seems like all you get is childhood trauma.
