Description During a thunderstorm on April 21, 2005 a ligheing show was provided along with the noise of the thunder, not to mention the rain. But the photo was taken from my front porch with a Nikon D2X. The photo was cropped in photoshop and reduced. The only other photoshop action taken or used was a unsharpmask and a contrast and lighten.

Thanks all and sorry for the belated reply. This image is one of the strongest lighting images I've taken recently. I do need to upload some new ones with the new camera.

How the hell did you time that? O_o I'm guessing it was a very slow shutter speed (the blurred lights of whatever vehicle in the foreground was a clue), but even so - you must've either gotten amazing reflexes, or predicted where the lightening would strike

actually if I remember the settings, I used either iso 100 or 400 with between a six second or up to thirty second exposure time with a f between 6 and 9......and all you do is keep clicking and edventually you'll capture the image.

thanks for the inquire...
