Just to show you all that I AM working on Dendyn Futures.
Firstly, I'd like to make it known that Dendyn Futures runs at 30fps, unlike Dendyn Dynasties which ran at 25. However, since it's going to be a bit longer than Dynasties, most of the fbf is only going to be animated on every second frame, an anime standard. This means less frames I have to colour and therefore less time taken, and the smoothness still takes only a minimal hit. Maybe after it's on its way to completion, I will go back and fill out some of the blank frames.
The characters are actually a lot harder to draw than in Dynasties, since I'm not omitting any details this time, especially on the Mechs.
You also get to hear a bit of the Dendyn Futures theme, although I won't be allowing that for download until I've done sufficiently more on this animation.
So yeah, this part is mostly showcasing Cyrus and his quicktoe ability as well as the Vulpine Star Mech. I never really got around to animating Rygel's quicktoe on the last Dendyn animation, so Cyrus fills that up nicely here.
Not much of it is coloured yet, sorry about that. It's the most tedious job of the animation process, lol. XB
The Dendyn series and all related material is (c) Ryanide. Do not distribute or use without my permission.
The animation style is inspired from Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann this time. It's really given me a great idea on how to do impact and recoil motions.

yes it is. Dendyn Dynasties serves 2 purposes: to parody RPGs and anime, and to show that anthro doesn't have to be as "furry" as people outside the fandom would think.

How so? Mech design is quite universal. Since these don't have faces on them, I think they look more like EVA or even Samus's suit from Metroid.

haha. Well the piloting in Gurren LAgann is done with these interesting hold things that float in the air. I think that's a great idea, but still I used gears for this, since I don't want to rip off.

His jacket's got a different design though. It's not quite as cape-like as Cyrus's jacket, which really wouldn't keep you warm, it's only an aesthetic and rank touch.

This is sharp, my friend. It's got sword play, RPG style hitting, and mecha.... Now all it needs it a bigass explosion, and I'll be in happyland with it.
The music's appropriate with it's intensity. It needs a splash screen though in part of it to be like... anime. You know how that goes.
Ahhh... Beyond that, There's not a whole lot I can say about it other than it's good.

I wish I could actually offer Advanced Critique, but I know so little about Flash that all I can say is that this is amazing.
I do have a question about the every other frame being animated though. Would you just have the actual frame of animation be placed immediately before or after a still image of the same frame or am I completely off?

Oh, you mean the musical cue? Yes, I did love the effect that had on the RBO animation. The piece of music was originally meant to be an experiment on an introduction theme inspired by RBO, but it evolved into the Dendyn Futures theme as I worked on it.

Wonderful work... Im truly impressed. Before i saw your another Dendyn animation, that left me in a comma (I saw it over and over all the day xD), but this... oh hell, i want to watch it finished xD.
I just wonder... How do you color? I was trying to animate the other day, and the coloring gave me a lot of problems xP. But still keep the good work, your animation skills are a jewel ._.
