BIONIC SIX!After a while of not posting and taking way too long to attack these characters, I finally chained myself down to do a take on these characters.
Probably one of my most favorite cartoons of the 80's growing up, of course besides the mainstream Transformers and GI Joe. I have no idea why it's not on DVD (not the dubbed vhs taped from Sci fi channel or on youtube or google)

Of course I'll be doing the rest of them and even have other things in mind. Let me know what you think AND your memories of the cartoon series. I want to start a little discussion about it and what you like about the series.

Ever since I re-discovered the cartoon I've been watching it alot. But I now developed a theory about Bionic Six originally being a spin off of "The Six Million Dollar Man". Plus it doesn't help that Jack Bennett/ Bionic-1 looks exactly and has the similar backstory as Col. Steve Austin, the original Six Million Dollar Man. Also the German name for the show when translated is "The Six Million Dollar Family"
I mostly remember the episode where Rock-1, IQ, and Karate-1 end up in a cartoon world wormhole. Plus for some reason I realize their costumes kinda resemble that of the 80's X-Men.

this is amazing, was one of my favourite shows growing up as well, there should definately be a remake! love your illustrative language, it really works well with this character... can't wait to see the rest!

So-lar! My 2nd favorite series next to TF...Usually the B6 get put in the "who?" category of 80's toons.
Then the Sci- fi channel totally edited them apart.
Trying to figure out why no DVD's yet, too.
Can't wait to see Rock 1 and Sport 1... Keep up the great work.

good old Bionic 6...I loved that series and funny enough was thinking about it the other day...kinda neat you are drawing them up...love your take on them, keep it up!

Ha...seems a lot of people remember it but it's one of the only 80's shows that aren't on official dvd (not bootleg VHS dubs) I'm planning on finishing the rest in the coming weeks. I've just been busy with other things. Check back soon!

Thanks! I do actually have a certain speedster brewing right now. I finished drawing her and she's in the process of being colored up. I've just been busy with other stuff for the past few weeks.
Yes, Mighty Orbots is another that hasn't been DVD'd. I actually tracked them down online and I'm watching both Bionic Six and Mighty Orbots. Hopefully I'll draw them one day also.

It was such a good cartoon that gets lost in the 80's toons shuffle. Man, I wish they'd put it out on dvd. This illustration is fantastic. Can't wait to see the other characters.

Yea, it seems like one of the only cartoons that haven't been put on dvd. Besides the crappy bootleg ones. So sad. I'll get back to finishing the rest once I get finished with another project. I'm aiming to work on it in Nov.

Wow!
I used to watch this cartoon here in Brazil when I was a little kid! It was that good, but I did never miss a episode! The opening has a very cool music (I didnt heard the original one, just our brazilian translation).
It's very nice to find some nostalgic things like this!
