Gears contest didn't pan out. At least I didn't make the 100 semi finalists. I was pretty amazed at some of the awful entries they chose though. But I'm happy enough with my piece.

That happens in many contests. It could also be that there were criteria we were never told about or were only hinted at. My work was completely original, no tracings used, but!!!!!....we were encouraged to trace from the supplied rotgut, I mean material. I imagine yours is original, so maybe that's why.

I've been part of art shows in the past and was asked to judge. I voted for what seemed to me to be an original, well done and well thought out piece. The other judges went for familiarity. They did not even try to understand the piece I liked when I talked to them about it.


I took your Behemoth head and transposed it onto Cthulhu Emerges. It is a cool piece. Want to see it? I will not upload it if you don't want to see it.
