This seemed appropriate after all my previous wolf!Kylo and fox!Hux scribbles. Dedicated to Bluefoxyz and hicstreme0 on Tumblr.
I haven’t even seen Zootopia yet because Brazilian cinemas are stupid (cue gross sobbing), but I just… couldn’t resist… stupid furries are my weakness :U

I actually haven't watched Zootopia yet, so I don't know how snakes look like in it, or if there even are snakes in the film xP
I'm a bit hesitant to make Snoke a specific type of snake, because for me, they all look too beautiful to be him... with the possible exception of wart snakes (Acrochordidae). what do you think?

Well anyway, I love how you colored them. Did you use color pencils? In that case I love how it's all smooth without showing gritty lines.
Even if not, I still love every aspect of it! Only, it's a little dark. You can get much clearer, brighter images with a scanner... But just an opinion!

Thank you! I imagine Kylo could be happy about a number of things... he's quite the snarky fellow, so just getting on Hux's nerves and mocking him could be enough.
Yes, I did use colour pencils! Though I'll admit I'm not very familiar with them, and it shows.
I'm currently saving up for a scanner, since the one I have is extremely old and produces very poor quality images. In the meantime, all I can do is take photographs and touch them up with the computer.

That's okay! The quality is fantastic for a camera, and I can see you took much care taking the picture.
And from my point of view, you are quite proficient with the color pencil.
I have been using them for years and the lines show; your colors on the other hand are smooth as one surface.

To be honest, I think texture is a charming element of pencil drawings. Yours aren't that different from mine, if you look closely.
I suppose my method is colouring very lightly and carefully, and instensifying the colour by going over it in many layers, as if I was using watercolour (a medium I'm much more used to). Maybe that helps the strokes and colours blend well? I really don't know.

Ooh that is interesting! I haven't used watercolor in years and last time I tried, it looked like someone pooped on the paper. XD

Honestly, there's no secret to it, except to keep practicing and use references. Sketching regularly is how I became comfortable drawing different poses, and I always try to use photographs for reference. Copying a pose from another person's drawing is tempting, but you don't learn much by doing that.
If you search for "figure drawing" and "dynamic poses tutorial" online, I'm sure you'll find a lot of good resources. Good luck!
