Description

Here is the Ridora class light dreadnought cruiser. this is a ship with the frontal armor protection of a Dreadnought, the side armor protection of a battleship, and the speed of a battlecruiser. It is rather lightly armed for its size but its combination of high speed and very good protection means that it has its useful roles. It is not used as commonly as the battlecruiser, which has a more well rounded armament, but Dreadnought cruisers are more common that regular dreadnoughts. The Ridora class itself is not widely used however, as it is the smallest of the Dreadnought cruiser type and is considered less useful than the larger classes. As such it is almost never seen in regular fleet service, with the most common users of the Ridora being system defense fleets whom want capital ships but dont want to pend as much on larger ships, which is often the case with the light capital ship size category.
