That's so convenient! I really needed something like this. *laughs* Two days ago or so I decided to draw something for a friend of mine and for the picture I needed wood. I didn't know how to draw it and today I find this. It's so useful! I'll try it tomorrow!

This is excellent! I do wood in a different way. It comes out nice, but I'd like to try this - it may give a better result!

Have you tried setting the both the fibre settings to max?

Over a small area, this gives a sort of cork-board effect

No! But thanks for telling me! God, Photoshop is such an awesome invention!

all it needs now is a free version...

Yes, and that would be Adobe's ultimate gift to mankind!

apparently GIMP is about as close as you get to this

xD

Gimp has nowhere near the tools tho

sarroora In reply to Ryytikki [2009-12-05 08:58:23 +0000 UTC]

GIMP is kind of Adobe's sick April Fools on us all. One look at GIMP and you'll rather hang yourself.

Ryytikki In reply to sarroora [2009-12-05 09:09:14 +0000 UTC]

i used it before i got photoshop

its a damn sight better than paint, lets put it that way

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

sarroora In reply to Ryytikki [2009-12-05 14:39:40 +0000 UTC]

So that puts Paint down at the bottom of the list. It's pixelated! I can't believe there are some awesome, determined artists out there who do some pretty neat stuff with only MS Paint!

if thats the case, i wonder what people can do with binary...

ive gotta try that sometime

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

sarroora In reply to Ryytikki [2009-12-06 07:23:23 +0000 UTC]

And what's this binary thing?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Ryytikki In reply to sarroora [2009-12-06 07:58:07 +0000 UTC]

my programming teacher showed it to me when we were working on binary in computing

You create a file filled with 0s and 1s. The program decodes the 0s as white and the 1s as black, creating a black and white pixel dot image

takes tons of time and incredible patience to create them

sarroora In reply to Ryytikki [2009-12-07 15:04:57 +0000 UTC]

Oh..My..God. I can't believe some people will actually DO that, especially in our time now when we don't have to! Why?!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Ryytikki In reply to sarroora [2009-12-07 16:13:13 +0000 UTC]

because their awesomeness surpasses most of life

im tempted to build a program that does that now o.o

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

sarroora In reply to Ryytikki [2009-12-07 18:11:55 +0000 UTC]

No, I'm not! There are other things to do! Don't I lose enough time of my life studying in school and university? Now I have to draw in binary? Noooo!

Ryytikki In reply to sarroora [2009-12-07 18:16:04 +0000 UTC]

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Ryytikki In reply to sarroora [2009-12-07 18:59:37 +0000 UTC]

no ^^

was told to build something involving nested loops in computing - this is a perfect choice

finished anyway, i'll send a link

Ryytikki In reply to sarroora [2009-12-10 15:39:15 +0000 UTC]

sarroora In reply to Ryytikki [2009-12-11 07:58:11 +0000 UTC]

But were you happy with the result?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Ryytikki In reply to sarroora [2009-12-11 17:16:55 +0000 UTC]

other than that, t'was fun to build

sarroora In reply to Ryytikki [2009-12-12 13:24:01 +0000 UTC]

Really?! Well, if it works for you then don't listen to me. I just want to draw without having to drive myself crazy using 0s and 1s!

Ryytikki In reply to sarroora [2009-12-12 16:36:12 +0000 UTC]
