Description
“Gotta get them all!” -Keldric
As a paladin, Keldric finally reached level 3 which gives him the ability to judge a foe by magically summoning a holy hammer and throwing it at a foe with all his might. You better hope he never judges you worthy of it because god damn, it simply can’t miss.
Constructive criticism is deeply appreciated!

This was my first actually digitally drawing some sort of effect and I'm not really impressed with the result. Then again, it didn't originally have one; I simply added it afterward to see if I could. You can see the original drawing without the effect below.

Project Level is an art experiment where we will follow the life of a human paladin as he grows to become a hero in the World of Warcraft universe. To do this, after every level gained, an experience the character lived through will be transformed into an illustration. The overarching goal of this project is to develop my skills in both traditional and digital art while maintaining a schedule. Creating a consistent style with the help of gathered constructive criticisms was also at the forefront of my mind when implementing the project.

Your art is very good, I couldn't find anything wrong to critique. You can add some contrast, brightness, shading...etc, but only if that's the direction you wish to go, because I feel this cartoon style is working and pursuit other styles would break it down instead.
If you still worried about the effects, perhaps add some flames around the flying hammer, maybe? Add some random lines to depicts the direction it flying also work well. You can research tons of techniques to draw battle scenes with lots of flying fists and poses, then pick the most appropriate one for yourself.
I myself curious about what's next, and that's a good thing. I do hope you can surprise everyone and keep this going.

After taking a look at your gallery, I'm impressed by the nicely achieved proportions and perspective of your drawings. The pose in this one is very dinamic, the depth is very well done and the effects are fitting. Nice project the one you have, it looks easier too stay faithful to a regular uploading schedule (or at least a regular drawing schedule) the way you did, by setting small goals in shorts amounts of time. Keep the great job. Also, thank you for the faves and Watch, it's greatly appreciated!

Wow I really like your art. It looks pretty good, the flame looks great. Also I didn't even know the background was a screenshot at first which is good. I would say you might want to practice drawing backgrounds but again you can continue using screenshots. Overall I really love it

i think if you add a shadow to your dude that would help.
Just over the grass and beneath his feet. Make him really look like he's standing on the grass and really in that environment.
the pose itself is strong though.

The background is a screenshot of the game the character originates from to give a better feel for the game and because I just really suck at backgrounds too! If you got any background, I could write some criticism for it We all gotta learn to do some, unfortunately.
